Prop reamer
#4

My Feedback: (11)

The propshaft thread diameter of the O.S. FT-160 is 5/16", not 12mm. The FT-300 has a 3/8" propshaft. Both engines have a 24 thread pitch. They are NOT metric.
The Great Planes reamer will work with both:
GPMQ5005 4-STEP STD PROP SHAFT REAMER US$11.99
These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells Great Planes kits and accessories.

Bax,
Thanks for the reply. The prop shaft size and thread are as you say. Both of my engines are equipped with OS safety propnut assy. The OD of the larger part of the safety propnut for the 160 is 12mm and tower does have a reamer for that.
The 300 safety propnut OD is 13.25 mm(.52"). I looked it up in the parts list. I found a reamer on ebay last night that is 13mm and bought it $19.00 including postage. Hopefully the .25mm difference will not be enough to cause prop mounting problems. Again thanks for answering.
