Default RE: OS FS-120 Surpass-II with a pump

I have a used OS FS 120 Surpass II. Would like to mount it ithe inverted position. Any known issues getting this setup to work effectively with this particular engine? (I'd like to know before drilling the firewall etc.). Thanks

I've been there with the same engine (Albit, a new one) in a 1/4 Cub! Do yourself a favor and get an on board glow driver setup. Life is sweet with it and stinks without it. Plus it sounds so good with a a reliable idle going tick, tick tick. LOL

ANY glow engine can be problematic when mounted inverted. Here's our FAQ on the topic:

The O.S. FS-120 Surpass has a large brass screw in the center of the fuel pump. The brass screw has a hole in it because it's part of the regulator assembly. The FS-120 Surpass II does not have the brass screw on the pump, and it has a long velocity stack on the carburetor. The Surpass II carb also has the regulator located there.

The pump and carb from the two engines cannot be mixed, so you must have the matching components for proper operation.
