Default gun guys what cleaners/CLP

I was a hoppes #9 and remoil guy until a couple years ago when I first went to Ballistol CLP, it was working good but last year I found a new CLP called Gunzilla which is now my favorite. Are you guys using CLPs or multiple products to clean your guns, I know this ain't a gun forum but lots of type A guys around here with strong opionions so lets hear yours.

I use Breakfree, blow it clean with an air compressor, then remoil. I'm not a fan of the really strong solvents... I think it was gunzilla that screwed up my trijicon sights, made them all whiteish.

ThunderbirdJunkie uses the blood of his fresh kills along with a brush made of their hair.

I've never noticed the gunzilla bothering the trijicon sights on my guns so I doubt it was the one causing the problem. It is a very mild cleaner and is natural soy based.

What else are you using that warm critter blood for TBJ?, you sound like a killa

You're not a fan of strong solvents, but you use Breakfree?

Doesn't that crap eat bluing?

Good old [link=http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=9806/Product/HOPPE_S_No__9]Hoppes Number 9[/link], best stuff there is, and very very mild. It won't eat a thing. Wipe dry for plastic, or you can use PJ1, or break-free on bluing or phosphate coatings. Any other coating, I would recommended you just wipe dry and relube with a high quality gun grease like [link=http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=31842/Product/RIG_reg__UNIVERSAL_GUN_GREASE]Rigs Gun Grease[/link].

It is fine for bluing, and phosphates, but it will eat some types of epoxy and some cheaply done parkerizings. Doesn't really bother Dura-coat though as long as it has been at least 3 weeks after it has been coated..

Never had it bother any bluing, even with the really thin layer on my shotguns. I could really care less about parkerizing though... ugly as hell, the more it strips, the better.
