Today is Danica Patrick's Birthday
Today (March 25th) is Danica's birthday and she is now 29 years old.
I must admit to being a Danica Patrick fan. Not only does she race cars, something I wish I had to talent to do, but she's a darn pretty girl as well.
I remember the 2005 Indy 500 where she won Rookie of the Year and led the race three times for a total of 19 laps where she was in the lead. I wasn't so sure of her as an aggressive Racer, as she did as she was told via radio instructions from the pits. But as she did it very well, she certainly proved herself a race-car driver. None can deny she has talent.
From what I can find out, she will be racing car #7 in the 2011 Indy 500 for the Andretti Autosport Team, and again sponsored by GoDaddy. This will be the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Indianapolis Motor speedway and the 95th running of the Indy 500, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 29th.
I'm not sure I want her to win, probably because I am old fashioned enough to think auto-racing is a man's sport, but also winning can mean even more risk than merely participating, and I'd hate to see her get hurt.
As a fan I thought it fitting to share my experience with the young lady here at RCU.
God bless her.

Who cares? The only reason she got where she is, is because of her looks and go-daddy's very deep pockets. She is an ad, an ad for a website hosting company. She may be a good driver, but she doesn't have the aggression needed to really take podium regularly. Sure, I would totally wreck that body... but I'm not placing any bets, she is too unpredictable and usually only wins when a crash takes out most of the good drivers. This is not an anti-woman-nascar rant, I would say the same thing about a lot of drivers.

Actually, it was just for fun. Just tinkering around with silly pictures. And playing with some GIF animation software. I did do something useful. Here's an animation of a OWB:
