Yes on both counts DarkFire
Micro-brewed in San Diego. Yellow Tail Pale Ale is a real treat. Sculpin IPA and a number of their other ones are damn good too.

**edit: WOW, they won 3 Gold Medals and Brewer of the Year catagory at World Beer Cup 2010. Nice. They also seem to have expanded their operations and distributions quite a bit since last I visited them. Not so 'micro' anymore...

RE: Favorite Beer.
Depends on how I feel and what I'm eating. Usually I'll have a Guinness but Bud Ice and Peroni are great when it's really hot and you've been doing hard work.

RE: Favorite Beer.
I am a wine drinker and collector, but if I have a beer I prefer Guinness on tap (not can or bottle!)
Guinness apparently does not travel well. The further it gets from St. James Gate, Dublin, the less good it is. It is available on tap at a few restaurants in my area, and it is OK, but not as good as in Ireland. If I lived in Dublin, I would probably live on the stuff. It has been described as a meal in a bottle!

I can't make up my mind between Sam Adam Boston Lager or Bass Ale. I am going to have to try them side-by-side soon for an unbiased comparison. I also like other beers, but I got a hankerin' for those two right now.

RE: Favorite Beer.
If you want a lager type try Stella Airtoir (spelling?) I think its from Belgim. For an ale go to UK and get a draught bitter it don't travel so its not available outside the country. I agree with the one person's comment about Budweiser, it's undrinkable. However I have to say that since the introduction of the so called micro brewerys in, I believe the early eightys there are some pretty decent American beers these days.

What, no Coors? Anyway, it depends on the cost and packaging.
Of the common American beers, Coors is my favorite. Of the cheap "dirty thirty" beers, probably Keystone. Malt liquor 40's, either Magnum or Colt 45, it depends. I used to really like Red Dog but I haven't seen that in years.
My favorite beer regardless, and favorite quality beer is Bell's Oberon. Unfortunately it is seasonal (summer only) but it is slightly similar to Blue Moon in my opinion, so I drink that during the off months.
I also enjoy the retro/hipster beers such as PBR, Schlitz, and Blatz.

RE: Favorite Beer.
I love Abita Turbo Dog (Louisiana) and pretty much anything the New Glarus Brewery puts out. Tough part is New Glarus doesn't sell outside of Wisconsin. Also, any beer than ends in -ktoberfest (except Becks, who sadly cannot brew a decent oktoberfest). A new one I've had recently and really enjoyed is from the Smuttynose Brewery in NH and is called -something along the lines of- "Brown Dog Ale".
