buying things....
okay guys well this is sort of a personal question. i have been really scared to ask my dad when i need to order things online. like im scared to ask him if i can order something and i will give him money once its ordered. idk why, it just came out of nowhere. i always used to ask him openly and not worry, but now, i feel like hes gonna yell at me.....idk why, i just do. if you were me, how would you get rid of this very annoying feeling? i mean im using my own money and all to pay for it, im just afraid to ask him to order it.

RE: buying things....
I used to buy things through my mom. Just gave her some money and she would order it through her card.
But in this case, go with a prepaid card. Ask him politely about the situation and bring up your points in a proper manner.

I was in your situation at one point as well. Once you get old enough you can get a Debit Card, then buy your own stuff. Getting a job will help.

yeah. well i have a checking account already, and they gave me a card. im not sure if its only an atm card or if it can be used as a debit card also. i would order it myself but the thing is when the order comes in, there will be a package and my dad will wonder why i ordered something without him.

only two payments i will do online now.
paypal, and pre-paid visa. at least with the visa, if they rip you off, they cant tap into your account and drain it.
oh, and word of the wise, let your parents know you are going to buy something, or else they will not trust you again.

yes the visa and mastercard versions can be had around here at grocery stores, like $3.95 fee for $100 card, I don't see anything larger around here but a good alternative if you need higher dollar amounts is the "Green Dot" reloadable card from Walgreens, its a $4.95 fee but you can load up to $500 for the one fee. I know a few guys that use these to avoid the prying eyes of the wifey, women just can't understand a set of $205 billet foot pegs for the harley or $300 brushless motors for that matter LOL.

if you have a checking account, you most likely have a debit (credit) card. if you do, buy away! just make sure the money is in the account so you dont overdraft lol
