Favourite bands?
so what are your favourite bands? Im into metal, black metal , powermetal , and some funk stuff...cant say no to some awesome bass lines like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but im mostly into the fast technical stuff,
Fav bands
Children of Bodom...i like worship these guys...
Racer-X
Symphony-X
Gwar.....there just too funny.... (go read the lyrics to there song Sick Of You)
Sinergy
The Offspring
Slayer
and sry to the fans... but i think metallica is just pure crap.like they like to think that there like gods... but rly they just need to grow up and find out how crappy they are.. so are so many more people that have more talent then them,.. like the frist 3 bands i mentioned above

RE: Favourite bands?
Metallica USE to be good, but now they've gone to pure crap. St. Anger was one of poorest albums I've listened too, sounded like they recorded it in my garage [sm=thumbdown.gif] Not to mention the length of the songs, 1 minute of music, and 6 minutes of filler crap [:'(]
I like all music, except country and cra.. oh sorry I meant rap.
Some my favorite bands...
BLS/Ozzy (of course)
Megadeth
Black Sabbath (original linup, they sucked after ozzy left)
Dream Theater
Savatage/Chris Caffery
John 5
Slayer
Yngwie Malmsteen
Etc. Etc. Too many to list them all.

Guess I'm the minority here...
BB King
Eric Johnson
Joe Satriani
Eric Clapton
SRV
Various other blues/rock guitar players.. If I'm just listening to music to pass the time or driving though, t's gonna be country. Today's "metal" is nothing but barking and growling. They're replaced the anger and hatred of yesterday's Metallica, Slayer, Venom and Maiden with watered down, angst ridden whiney boy crap. Sorry, metal should have balls or it needs to not exist. So, I've gone the complete opposite direction and gotten myself into country music. Not that old fasioned "theys a teeeeeeear in my beeeeeeeeer" kinda country, but modern, southern rockish country. Stuff my granny likes at first, then she listens for a few minutes and says "that's not country!"

RE: Favourite bands?
yeah, Clapton did "cocaine", both the song and the drug. The song is actually his tale of how badly it will wreck your life. And who cares if your music isn't what everyone is talking about? Mine wasn't either, but I still posted it. So post the bands you dig and don't worry who isn't into them. I'm not into 10% of the bands these guys have listed lol

RE: Favourite bands?
I'll listen to just about anything except Jazz. I have a lot of music stored on my 'puter so I can pick out some jams while surfin'. I'm into off-the-wall stuff like Alice Cooper, Frank Zappa and Weird Al but will listen to Oldies, some Country, a little Rap and Hip-Hop (my 18 year-old son thinks that it's cool that an old geezer will listen to Rap) but mainly any good music no matter what the genre is. I hate poorly done songs by someone who thought that they could do a better job (very rarely) of the original or to fill a CD. That sounds odd being a Weird Al fan but he does good parodies of songs most of the time.

I like heavy to classic rock!! Anyone mention Pink Floyd or Led Zeplen?
Anything but country, classical(opra)[:'(] and really not a jazz fan.
