The Electric boat forum isn't that busy as it is so why would the Admin's want to add one for smaller boats? If they became really popular and the FE forum started getting over-run with them, then I could hit them up for a separate forum. I asked for this forum to be placed down under the Boat forae or to make a separate one for boaters. Until the boaters start using this one more than what they have, that ain't gonna happen either.
In the meantime you can start a micro-boat thread and see where it goes. The boat forums were expanded to include subs and warship combat and neither get used much but at least the owners or people interested in them now have a place to discuss them, more coverage than any other R/C forum site has done.
There currently aren't that many people involved in micro-boating, it's a niche area. There are plans available for some higher performance boats but other than that, the rest are Toy Dept. boats.
In the future with all of the electronics getting smaller and better, there could be a place for them.

One of the higher-ups has seen this and we are talking it over. Don't hold your breath yet but we might be able to make it a sub-forum of the electric boat forum or try it on a trial basis to see how much attention it will get. In the meantime keep on posting in the electric forum. If we get the micro boat forum, the existing threads can easily be moved.
