Me and one of my friends have Yamaha Zuma's. Its fun to ride around town. DIRT cheap on gas. Im getting close to about 60 miles to the gallon. It runs right around 45mph stock. Its great for those short trips to go pick up dinner or something at the hobby shop. Super reliable..it just runs and runs and runs. Ive got about 5000 miles on mine, and its never missed a beat. You can park it just about anywhere. Its comfortable to ride on too. I even did a huge harley poker ride on it as a joke. It was 50 miles round trip, stopping off at different places picking up my cards. I didnt win, but it was alot of fun, and hilarious. All those harleys riding down the street, and me on my scooter putting along with them.

bdavidson, my old Honda Spree got close to 150 (70 miles per half gallon tank) mpg. my 550cc Suzuki that I have NOW gets close to 60 mpg and will do 110 easily:P
what's the displacement on that Yammi, it looks nice. I've been thinkin about becoming a Scootard again.

It's just a 50cc. It was getting 80mpg when I got it, but it needs a tune up probably...got a lot of miles on the scoot.
Vespa has a fantastic new scooter called the Grand Tourismo that will do 80mph, and runs great...about $3600 bucks though.

lol, it's not like I'd be getting rid of anything to get it, and it'd be an old cheap beat up used one. i'm sure as hell not droppin $3500 on a scootard, I can get way too much other fun stuff to do that:P

RE: gas powered scooters? NOT MOPEDS!
mayhem...yeah but for $900 I got my old Zuki 550 that'll do over 100, and i've got the old SACS 750 (paid $250, runs nice too) ready to be torn apart for a Wiseco big bore kit and Yoshimura cams.
for $4000 you could buy a real nice early water cooled GSXR750 and kill yourself REALLY effectively

RE: gas powered scooters? NOT MOPEDS!
a Suzuki GS550 is a motorcycle, not a moped same with a GSXR750. AFAIK the Burgman 600 is the biggest scootard in production. the SACS 750 is a type of engine from an OLD GSXR750 or Katana 750.
