Moderators, why was my post deleted?

RE: Moderators, why was my post deleted?
It appears that one of the other moderators didn't like you asking about another forum on this forum--which is sort of like promoting another forum which is against the RCU Community Rules. Perhaps, a review of those rules is in order.

I went in and looked at what you posted previously. I had one of those in the boatings forums that was deleted and a message sent. I don't know if it was you or not. If it was, you were sent a message from me.
Please read the site rules. Being new to the site you may have assumed that all site rules are the same, they're not in here.
If you have any questions on the RCU policies, you can PM myself or TNB. We'll be happy to answer your questions.

I think you have to be nominated, you have to be 18 or older, the last guy that said he should be a mod isn't here any more. If I were you I wouldn't say any more about it.

I applied for the job when there was an opening announced. Others have gotten theirs in various ways. There were some other Moderators recently "hired" as one forum site merged with ours and brought along their crew.
As the site continues to grow, there may become more openings. Finding inappropriate postings and reporting to Mod's helps as we can't see everything but we try. You can gain friends and make enemies but you also learn a lot while reading the postings, it's a 2-way street.
Even us Mod's have rules to go by, not just the ones that you see as a regular member.
That other person had issues that we as Mod's can not discuss openly as if you got into trouble, we wouldn't want to embarrass you either.

I do spend a lot of time on this site and have a lot of area to cover pretty much by myself. Usually I check in first thing in the morning when I work days or second shift then after work. Yes, we have real jobs. Not only am I the boat Mod but volunteered to help out in this forum also.

Yeah you have to be over 18 (I got in when I was 17 though... lucky me) and it's not all fun and games... as the last person though
