i was thinkin of getin an iPOD just to be cool cuz all my friends have-um

is the iPOD with the video any good? cuz that was one of my first choices but i gota fined out how much the thing is

any clues on whats good and for how much?

$300 for the 30MB Ver.
$400 for the 60MB Ver.

but both still play video

i would get an ipod. its just that i wouldn't want to pay for all the videos and stuff. And i really dont think its fair to download free stuff ilegaly off the internet. So ther's no point for me.

um personally I don't see the greatness of watching a video on a 2.5" screen that has not so great resolution. And as for the 30gb of space, even if you have 30 gb of music do you really need 20 days worth of music in your pocket? The only possible reason I could think of for buying that much space is to use it for a backup for my computer but now that I got my 60gb portable harddrive for $100 I don't need one. Also my friend got one and his brother has the 20gb and I held one in each hand and I have to say I liked the 20gb way more. Once stuff gets that light you want to have something in your hand not just a piece of paper. Also on the video the edges are not smoothed so it kind of digs into your hand unlike the 20gb. If you could find a 20gb on ebay I'd buy that instead of the video. And if you must have videos buy a portable DVD player...

i usualy buy CDs and just put them on i-tunes amd plus if u buy enough CDs at vista music you get a free CD lol i think you have to buy like 14 or something, but i always end up getting that free CD lol

ipods are only 400 dollars because they have the word "IPOD" on them

there in demand so they cost alot more, but you could get something with just the same amount of space for 150 less

well ive got this one store in my area called "pre played" and they have everything thats used and i bet they have a used oone there for cheap$$$

not the video cause it only came out a few months ago and almost no one would sell their ipod a few months after getting it unless they screwed it up. Iriver makes this media player thing that has a 3.5" screen, plays videos with good quality, has 20 or 40 gb storage, plays radio, records sound, and is only slightly larger than the video and the 40gb costs $250!

Uh.... Mac's are FAR better than Windows and better than Linux.
The way I see it:
Best: Mac
Linux
Worst: Windows

Also, the Windows OS is a TOTAL rip off of Mac and Bell Lab's origional OS's. IT'S SO OBVIOUS!

I don't want to offend anyone here who has an Ipod, but they suck. After a while the battery starts to fail charging and you have to get a new one, and on the Nano the clicker breaks along with the screen. If you want something that will out do an Ipod in song storage and durability. SONY LINE OF MP3 PLAYERS!!! I have the NW-E507 (damn the thing is great) since all Sony players are in ATRAC3 format, they hold more songs than an Ipod. Go with a Sony HD-5 if you want max storage for a 20GB or go with NW-E507 for a 1GB that holds 695 songs. GO SONY MAN!!!

Well, you don't have to buy an iPod, you can just have your crappy little Sony MP3 players. Also, what about all the pro's of the iPod, all you are doing is listing the negatives. Sounds to me that you are VERY opionated and that you want to say "My whatever is so much better than yours!"
P.S. I have the Nano and other iPods and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO THEM! THEY ARE ALL IN PERFECT CONDITION! I EVEN HAVE THE SECOND GENERATION FROM THE 90's AND IT STILL WORKS!

P.S.S. I bet you own a ton of Sony stuff, too. Huh?

if you get it tell me how it works! It uses the windows media center edition interface which I have on my computer and is really nice. Also on a pic it showed a "My TV" section. Do you think it gets TV? if it would blow any ipod out of the water!
