Default headers or manifolds

i hope there is someone in this site who has at least touched a big motor. I just wanted to know if you prefer exhaust headers or exhaust manifolds.

I've put on my share of headers. Much better performance but the downside is that they don't last as long as original equipment. Nothing like going to the strip and pulling off the mufflers while waiting in line to go in to race!

I voted headers. Have you ever been standing beside a running car with open headers?(V8) Not only do you hear it, you FEEL it!

I also got a lot more tickets with headers--and side pipes were just another excuse for a cop to pull me over even if I had passed state inspection.
