Yeah, seen that before.. pretty neat.. although I don't think it is quite fair to compare the suspension travel / off-road capability of that (purpose built vehicle) and some 15 yrs old Chevy Suburban.. LOL!

If I jack up my Blizzard, that will be like that, ha ha ha!!

Don't give your kid a super fast car.... for real..

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=124526#2
geez. i read about that one too... thinking back to my teens, driving that old cop car around like a lunatic, it wasn't a M5 but it was a heck of a lot faster than the Escorts and Cavaliers my friends all drove.

Converting how?! To 1/5th scale? Or convert to BL? Or?

ORIGINAL: DarkFire989

Converting the GST is a lot of money. THere is a guy who sell kits for them 750$ but the engines are like 300-400 alone, so thats why the kit is soo much.
This is the guy who makes them into 1/6 scale with a gas engine.

Most FWD car goes understeer under power...

I can teach my kid (if I have any) about chassis dynamic with my RC..

Now, see this is FWD, bust out the M-03...

Then, now, this is RWD, bust out the F103GT..

LOL!!

ORIGINAL: nick2618

i know its really scary in my 1:1 car when i try and take a corner while pressing the gass and its wet outside!! [X(]

Man I hate understeer. Good thing the 4 cars I aspire to own are all RWD. 4WD or AWD cars also suffer from understear in many cases, but not as bad as some can split the torque between the front and rear in unequal ratios.

And I was thinking that also about the kid's parents, but I was also thinking that maybe he took it without them giving consent so I wasn't quick to play the blame game. But then again if their kid is able to take the car without them knowing there is something wrong there...
tell me about it. the first accident i was ever in was the result of understeer. i tried to go around a gentle corner in snow after two years driving RWD, and when the car kept pushing forward I attempted to correct it which only made things worse. i was inexperienced at the time and unable to regain control, and before i knew it i was spinning out of control. i slammed the rear wheel into a curb but thankfully i was unharmed.

Its rediculous, kids in southborough live in 4000+ sq ft homes. There is a kid in my grade who got a BRAND NEW LAND ROVER for getting his license. C'mon, I think he's a bit spoiled. I have a camry[&:]
hey i got a Camry! lol... i don't care much for it, but it was basically free so i can't really complain.

i know it rubbed me the wrong way when i worked for two summers to buy an old cop car and kids in my grade were getting brand new cars (Mustang, Camaro, Eclipse, etc) for their 16th birthdays.

Some of the trucks on the website has 4 shocks per corner.. maybe bigger shocks would be a better idea?!

Most of the cars sold got understeer dialed in from the factory.. it is the "safer" setting.. so people don't loop it so easily..

But certainly it is not the fast way to go around corner..

yeah that thing was zippy for sure! and the trunk was HUGE, i dropped an entire lawnmower in there without having to angle it to get it in. i remember leaving tire marks on the driveway just to anger my father.

lol same here, 99 with oh just shy of 140k miles on it. it's that drab grayish color that i swear they painted every other Camry with. i think the color is called "Champagne". more like "Boring". lol!

lol not at all! i remember when i figured out how to break the rear end loose on command in my first car. it wasn't that hard actually, just power mostly! but i'd kick the back end out around corners all the time when leaving school. another guy had a beat up old 70s Mustang and he and i would get out around the same time, slide out around that first corner, and take off. the fun part was watching the kids in FWD cars trying to replicate it.

Well, after a long time of searching and waiting(LB and I have talked about it before so he knows) I finally landed an original release Dyna Storm.[sm=bananahead.gif] THis should reassure everyone that I am still a Tamiya fan.

After researching I found that the Dyna had been also re-released a few years ago. To say the least I am totally stoked, but here's my dilemma.....

DO I BUILD IT?![]

for real? well i guess a lot of it depends on where you live. public transportation varies from place to place, and if you're "out there" in the country, getting around without a vehicle can be a pain.

It is gonna be pretty sweet.. although it is more of a GT car, than sports car, though! (too heavy!)

But I'd take one!!
