For touring car, I'd go 7700kv, unless you plan to run 3S lipo or something like that..
For 6-8 cells, 2S lipo, 7700kv can not be beat!

No problems with stormer. It's been around for a long time. If you need to you can even grab a hold of the owner on RCTECH.

The Front rims list a bearing size on Imex's site, so I'm guessing they take a bearing. The Rear rims list a hex size (which fits the pede). I'm guessing I'll be ordering 4 rears (Pede front bearings are in the carriers, not the wheels. They have a hex up front for the wheel). My other concern is that offset is sensible enough so that I won't have problems on the Pede.

Nice R8R there, but very surprised that you didn't just keep it in the box........ (next to your 34 NIB, ha ha ha!)

XBR 8.5 is cheaper than Mamba Max combo.. but a little bit more than the Sidewinder...
If you are really on budget, and you only want to go up to 5700kv, the Sidewinder might be a good deal for you..
I installed it in my M-03M, you can go check out the thread...

Got any hop-up planned for R8R?!
I wonder if the F103GT motor plate / heatsink works on it!

can you post a link for the XBR8.5 and the sidewinder
RE: THE LOUNGE 2
They are both available at Tower..
Sidewinder is basically Mamba Max's little brother and can do 4600 and 5700kv motor.. but not the 7700..
But is a bit cheaper!!

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
I think you should try them all!! I'd have to say that the sensorless is getting better! And obviously, offer the great power..
But for racing, I'd say sensored would be the way to go! If you ever got spun during the race, you can get right back up right away..
The sensorless can almost do that now, but still, you feel the slight hestiation at starting.. worse when the car is rolling backward, for example..

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Maybe time to go to the main forum and do some reading.......
But basically, sensored has a sensor at the motor that tells the ESC the rotor position so it can accurately fire the pulse.. while sensorless does not.. it uses some mathmatic algorithm to estimate that...
