RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Sure does! Hence, the temptation...

Power question for folks here - I'm not real swift at this. I've got a sump pump that pulls 6.3 Amps from the motor at full load, and also says 15 Amps required for individual branch circuit (not sure what that means, it's in the manual).
I've also got an APC Back-UPS ES 725 (got it from my last job when they closed shop). Specs are here:
http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/A...7V2V_R0_EN.pdf
Thing is, most of the UPS specs are in Watts - like, 450 W for this one. Other specs include Input Voltage Supported: 120 VAC, Maximum Current Rating: 725 VA.
I took an EE class in college, but don't remember squat (never liked it). LOL My basic question is, could I use this APC ES 725 as a solid battery backup for my sump, or will the sump draw too much power for it to handle?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The "Now" is electric. Comes RTR with a radio, 3s Lipo battery, charger, and a Mamba 25 BL system in it. They also make a nitro-type version as well.
$230 at Tower now. Seems pretty cool (again, wish it was a kit).

Not great pics online.....good ones in the mag though.

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Take the wattage rating and divided by the voltage (120?) and you can get the amp rating...
At 120V, 450 watts is only good for a little less than 4 amps..

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
I have another UPS from APC, an XS 1500 (also free from my last company, nice snag, these ain't cheap). 120 VAC, 865W, so that's 7.2 A. This one's hooked up to my PC currently (yes, overkill). I've used it to power our freezer last summer during a power outage for a bit. It worked ok then (not going to last really long, but did it long enough).
Sump says 6.3 A for the motor at full, so this one would do it. But.....what is the verbiage about "15 A separate branch circuit"? No idea what that's about.
Eh, maybe I'll just buy a "real" system for it after all. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to kick this idea around....

More questions (I'm full of it today): what is this thing? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDDD8&P=7
Novak switch 75MHz synth for Tx.
I have an XXTra Rx like this, I put it in the truck/buggy and dial in to whatever Tx I'm using currently (I have 2). So what is the need for something like this on the Tx end? Is it for pointing your Tx to a different Rx that's not an XXTra? (Or if it is an XXTra...and you have several)?

RE: THE LOUNGE 2
No they just have to be on the same channel. Ie. both Tx Rx show the same numbers. No adjustment on the Rx is necessary since your Transmitter remembers all the settings (if it has memory mode.) To fit the module you need a module capable radio like KO propo mars/helio/ futaba 3pk etc.

i just love looking at the bruiser. i know the high lift is supposed to be like a new school bruiser, but i can't get over the idea that the bruiser is much, much cooler.
also realized that the TB-02 will probably come while i'm here in the hospital. [:@] oh well at least i'll get a nice kit to come home to. if i'm feeling right and the weather is nice i may actually paint the body. i have a feeling that yellow pactra is going to look awesome.
nick, i really like that dephi! when was that made? i thought duratrax just made basic. affordable off road bashers! what can you tell me about it?

They discontinued them due to unpopularity. It is very basic and you can tell when you see it in person. I got one for $30 w/motor and it just sat in the box. I ended up selling it for the same amount.

but yeah, just from the picture alone, comparing it to anything else i can see what you mean. it looks even more basic than the Brat.

Maybe you need to get a F103GT?! Hee hee...

that's a shame, i actually like it. as much as i love insanely complex and detailed RCs, there's something to be said about a very basic vehicle, even if the best thing that can be said is that they don't have as much to break. assuming they aren't cheaply constructed to begin with that is.

The Bruiser is certainly a great looking machine.. things are done to look just like a real truck! The frame and all! Because of that, it does gave up a little bit to look scale, though.. like there's no diff (or the axle would look too fat?).. ha!
It certainly would look SWEET on a shelf.. it is like too nice to run.. ha!
On the other hand, a F-350 / HiLux, I'd beat that up pretty bad without worrying too much! ha!
Hope you get well soon enough to build the TB-02 up!

So I am putting my F103GT Courage and the Jaguar XJR on ebay tomorrow. I hate using them because they are so nice ha ha.
Mechanized, glad you are ok. I had a couple of hospital visits and I don't know what I would have done without my laptop. Hope you have fun with your TB-02!
Got all my parts in for the RC18B, I have a spare of everything practically because the spares are so chep and steering parts.
And LB nice blizzard shots! For once we actually got more snow than you guys, it hit harder down south (in CT).
