RE: THE LOUNGE 2
All my overseas orders came in, but still waiting on RCMart since 4/1.
I got some Astral wheels for the DT-02MS to match the fronts along with a set of Super Gripper tires like they show on the box. Basically DF-02 spikes.
I got an additional front and rear set of the DF-02 spikes to go on the Hotshot.
Got my bearings for the Pajero and lights too.
Trying to decide on a paint scheme for the Tateego body at the moment.
Dreading a complete tear down of the Titan[:@], I have to replace the main shaft bearings.

i've really fallen behind in the Lounge! [:@] and i see we've gotten some more "members" too, that's awesome!
well i finally got a new radio. money is tight right now so i was just going to wait and keep switching the 2TXP between my cars, but i was letting one of my friends drive the TB-02 around and she broke the steering wheel. [:@] i'm sure it wasn't totally her fault, as it's a cheap radio and i use it a lot, but still it sucked to not have a radio, since well it's the only one i have.
so i went down to the LHS and found out they don't really have much in the way of crystals or even AM receivers. almost nothing in fact. i thought maybe i could be cheap and get some 27 MHz stuff to use with the RTR radio from the Frog. but all they had was a bunch of high end FM and 2.4GHz systems, and so my only budget option was a Futaba 2PL system on channel 63, so i bought that. same price as Tower too, so i can't complain. and i got two more standard servos to destroy. [>:][>:][>:] amusingly enough, since they didn't have any crystals on either 63 or 79, i'm again forced to swap between cars, although at least this time i can just swap a crystal instead of having to disconnect and reconnect the receiver. [8D]

The best $100 you ever spent?! hee hee... [)]

the last time i resealed the spur and pinion, i missed a small spot, and wouldn't you know it about 20-30 grains of sand still ended up inside there. it wasn't long before it got onto the gears and chewed up the pinion. for those who doubt the durability of Tamiya plastic, the spur gear is almost brand new while the pinion looks awful.
i just wish i had a parking lot within walking distance. well, there's the open area at the top of the driveway i guess...

A Wild Willy NIB just sold for $3500 on ebay. The only difference I could see from other NIB ones that are around $700-900 is that it still have some plastic wrapping on it.... (which is actually put on by distributers) Funny how Ebay works sometimes.

Hello turbotb0205, thank you for the info, but I already know the pluses of the electrics. Though I am not really that impressed with Tamiyas new R/C.

I was able to gain computer access here at the camp site, so I should have some King Hauler pics up earlier than I thought.

I don't even think if that person keeps it and then tries to resell it in 10 years they will break even.
