Yep, and they will do it for free and less than 2-3 days. Matter how busy they are. If its running Leopard I would crank up time machine back up everything you have then do a complete fresh install. It will wipe everything on the HD and then reinstall the OS. Then as you set it up there will be a step were they ask you do you want to transfer from another mac start fresh or start up from a time machine back up. You will choose this. That is if your running 10.5 and not 10.4-10.3.

Maybe your brother downloaded a program that would mess up the keyboard and mouse. A few kids and I have written such programs in our Programming Class.

If the new keyboard dont work do what i said to do in the earlier post. THEN take it to the apple store if it persists.

You are wrong, MAC'S have absolutley no problems because according to those tv ads MAC's beat PC's in every way possible. So whatever you do dont wish you bought a PC because then your problems would only be 10 times worse RIGHT?

Wow someone is a little cocky! Macs are 10X better but they ARE NOT perfect. Why don't you try getting a PC from 1999-2000 to run vista. I can get A iMac G3 and put leopard on it. It wont run the best but there wont be a problem putting it on there. This does sound like a hardware issue. Yes macs arnt not perfect but they are better than your 3rd party OS.

My friend bought the new iMac recoently and it worked fine for about a week, then it just died and would not turn on. Turned out that the whole motherboard had burned out and needed to be replaced [:@]
Looks like Macs arnt as perfect as I thought they were and they seem to not work as much as a PC does as they always die quicker.
As sad as it may seem, as long as the PC has a good antivirus software it will out perform and outlive a Mac. FACT

I figured it was something hardware. Anyways, what keyboard you getting the slim wireless one or the slim wired one? Or a non-Apple one?

I am writing this on my 4TH macbook. 2 hard drives, optical drive replaced on saturday, and you know what? I LOVE IT! When I first got my macbook, there was a problem with it so I brought it back. with in 30min, they offered me a new one. Pretty much the same thing with everything else. Anything they can do at the Genius bar, they will do for free. No labor costs, no part costs. I have gotten receipts with prices from $30 to $1100. All for free! Not matter if you have apple care, pro care or anything! I was at the apple store, I know everyone there by first name, and am know as the "kid with the white MB". We have 5 macs in our house. All are AMAZING. I will NEVER buy another windows.

Yea we love the MAC. We have 2 iphones in the house and had a problem with one when it was new, got a brand new one, they even took all the songs and stuff off the old one and put it on the new one.

Yeah like I said there not perfect. But the service is so nice and so much better its not even funny.
If anyone follows me on youtube (http://youtube.com/robertd63) I have a Mac Mini and there was water dumped on it. So I thought it was a lemon not knowing that there was water spilled on it. The fans ran a full blast got like 5-6 kernel panics and it was just not acting normal. So I took it in and they told me that it had water damage and they replaced it all for free! I was so happy!!

But they are an operating system. I am not going to say a dell, HP or whatever.

I also love Macs, everyone in my house has a Mac and iPhone. It just annoys me that they build something great and then ruin it with bad quality control checks probabaly, atleast they make up for it with their customer service but 2 of my friends have been put of buying Macs because of then not working.

I agree with you on the Tablet part but if your saying that you cant find any software for the Mac you are sadly mistaking. Mac OS X has more apps than windows. Its hard to believe but if i google a app its there for mac and i cant seem to find a windows side to it. Its no longer 2003 Mac OS X has no compatibility issues.
EDIT your mistaking on the Tablet. Meet the ModBook:

Well I assure you there is much more software written for Windows than any other OS on the planet.
