I love music some of my favorites are Aerials from system of a down, Black Hole Sun from Soundgarden, and Zero from Smashing Pumpkins.

Smashing Pumpkins Zero:
Emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness
And cleanliness is godliness, and god is empty just like me
Intoxicated with the madness, I'm in love with my sadness
Bull**** fakers, enchanted kingdoms
The fashion victims chew their charcoal teeth
I never let on, that I was on a sinking ship
I never let on that I was down
You blame yourself, for what you can't ignore
You blame yourself for wanting more

This one really fits my mood tonight. It wasn't long ago today I sent the last verse in an email to someone Well you know what.
Bob Dylan's: And don't think twice it's alright

well it ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe
if you don't know by now
it ain't no use to sit and wonder why babe
it don't matter anyhow
when the rooster crows at the break of dawn
look out your window and i'll be gone
you're the reason i'm traveling on
and don't think twice, it's alright

ain't no use in turning on your light babe
it's a light i've never known
there ain't no use in turning on your light baby
i'm on the dark side of the road
i wish there was something you could do or say
to try and make me change my mind and stay
we never did too much talking anyway
and don't think twice, it's alright

ain't no use in calling out my name now
like you've never done before
ain't no use in calling out my name now
i can't hear you anymore
thinking and wondering all the way down the road
i once loved a woman, a child, i'm told
i gave her my heart, she wanted my soul
and don't think twice, it's alright

i'm going down that long lonesome road babe
where i'm bound i can't tell
but goodbye is too good a word babe
so i'll just say fare thee well
i ain't saying you treated me unkind
coulda done better but i don't mind
you just kinda wasted my precious time
and don't think twice, it's alright
and don't think twice, it's alright

I would first like to say, I hope none of these offend any one.

American girls and American guys will always stand up and salute;
Will always recognize
When we see ol' glory flying,
There's a lot of men dead,
So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our head.

My daddy served in the army,
Where he lost his right eye.
But he flew a flag out in our yard 'til the day that he died.
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy in the land of the free.

Now this nation that I love has fallen under attack.
A mighty sucker punch came flying in from somewhere in the back.
Soon as we could see clearly through our big black eye,
Man we lit up your world like the Fourth of July.

Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list,
And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly,
And there's gonna be Hell,
When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell!
It's gonna feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you...
Brought to you courtesy of the Red, White and Blue!

Oh, Justice will be served and the battle will rage.
This big dog will fight when you rattle his cage
You'll be sorry that you messed with the US of A
'Cuz we'll put a boot in your ***
It's the American way.

Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list,
And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly,
And there's gonna be Hell,
When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell!
And it'll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you...
Brought to you courtesy of the Red, White and Blue!

Of the Red, White and Blue..
Of my Red, White and Blue...

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where as least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
and it’s time to stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A

[link=http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/23922469]In God We Still Trust from Diamond Rio.[/link]
You place your hand on His bible, and when you swear to tell the truth.
His name is on our greatest monuments an' all our money too.
An' when we pledge allegiance, there's no doubt where we stand:
There's no separation, we're one nation under Him.

In God, we still trust here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the going gets tough.
He is the source of all our strength, the one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.

Instrumental break.

Now there are those among us,
Who wanna push Him out.
And erase his name from everything,
This country's all about.
From the schoolhouse to the courthouse,
They're silencing His word,
An' now it's time for all believers,
To make our voices heard.

In God, we still trust here in America,
He's the one we turn to every time the goin' gets tough.
He is the source of all our strength, the one who watches over us.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America,
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America, in God, we still trust.
Here in America

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSggUslXpoo]Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son[/link]
Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,

Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no.

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! yoh,

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one.

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no,

This one always brings a smile to my face.

war head... ive lost faith in our country, in its people, in its government, however, i care alot about our men out fighting this war, they receive all my respect, my grandpa was a vet in WWII and it gives me pride that he loved his country so much, he was willing to risk his life for it, i wish i could feel that way.

BTW Surfin Bird is most likely the stupidest, most repetitive joke of a song i think exists out there!

ever listen to Feedom Fighter by Creed? its a good song.

i made myself sad now[&o]

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvj6zdWLUuk]-Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning? From Alan Jackson[/link]
Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry

Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below

Did you burst out in pride
For the red white and blue
The heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself to what really matters

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Teaching a class full of innocent children
Driving down some cold interstate
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her
Did you dust off that bible at home
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not go to sleep
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages
Speak with some stranger on the street
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Go out and buy you a gun
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger
Stand in line and give your own blood
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love
I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

The greatest is love
The greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day

[link=http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/2155400]Where The Stars & Stripes & The Eagle Fly from Aaron Tippin[/link]

Well if you ask me where I come from
Here's what I tell everyone
I was born by God's dear grace
In an extraordinary place
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

It's a big 'ol land with countless dreams
Happiness ain't out of reach
Hard work pays off the way it should
Yeah, I've seen enough to know that we've got it good
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

There's a lady that stands in a harbor
For what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
The price that it cost to be free

I pledge allegiance to this flag
And if that bothers you, well that's too bad
But if you got pride and you're proud you do
Hey, we could use some more like me and you
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

Yes there's a lady that stands in a harbor
For what we believe
And there's a bell that still echoes
The price that it cost to be free

No, it ain't the only place on earth
But it's the only place that I prefer
To love my wife and raise my kids
Hey, the same way that my daddy did
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

Where the stars and stripes and the eagle...fly
Where the stars and stripes and the eagle fly

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltJR5qsJqrY]Remember the Heroes from Sammy Hargar[/link]

Stranger in a foreign land
Fearful cries surround him
Returning home a wounded man
To find he's been forgotten, yeah

Courage is the badge he wears
Blinded by obsession
Wars are won by those who dare
The memory still haunts him

Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose
Remember the heroes
We've all got a lot to lose

A rebel to the naked eye
An undiscovered legend
Face the facts and don't ask why
It's something to believe in
In the dark, day and night
Fight for wrong to prove what's right

Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose
Remember the heroes
Just another life to use
Remember the heroes
We've all got alot to lose

(Remember the heroes)
(Remember the heroes)
(Remember the heroes)
(Remember the heroes)

To take one life without a say
Demanded without reason
To turn our backs and walk away
A faceless act of treason
A father's son must carry on
The wound is only deepened

Remember the heroes
Who fight for the right to choose
Remember the heroes
It's just another life to use

Remember the heroes
You know we all got alot to lose
Remember the heroes
Who's gonna fill their shoes?

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHvbrXPUIU0]Simple Man frm Charlie Daniels[/link] Now this is a song that you can live by, and believe me, I do!

I ain't nothin' but a simple man
They call me a redneck I reckon that I am
But there's things going on
That make me mad down to the core.

I have to work like a dog to make ends meet
There's crooked politicians and crime in the street
And I'm madder'n hell and I ain't gonna take it no more.

We tell our kids to just say no
Then some panty waist judge lets a drug dealer go
Slaps him on the wrist and then he turns him back out on the town.

Now if I had my way with people sellin' dope
I'd take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope
I'd hang 'em up high and let 'em swing 'til the sun goes down

Well, you know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land
The good book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth
You better watch where you go and remember where you been
That's the way I see it I'm a Simple Man.

Now I'm the kinda man that'd not harm a mouse
But if I catch somebody breakin in my house
I've got twelve guage shotgun waiting on the other side

So don't go pushing me against my will
I don't want to have to fight you but I dern sure will
So if you don't want trouble then you'd better just pass me on by

As far as I'm concerned there ain't no excuse
For the raping and the killing and the child abuse
And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess

Just take them rascals out in the swamp
Put 'em on their knees and tie 'em to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest

You know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land
The Good Book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth
You better watch where you go and remember where you been
That's the way I see it I'm a Simple Man

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Gy7WKz6dHs]America Will Survive from Hank Williams Jr.[/link]
People think it's nearly the end of time
Cause we're together and we've drawn the line
Our flag is up, the stock markets down
But we're all united from the country to the town

We live back in the woods you see
Big city problems never bothered me
But the world has changed and so have I
And America can survive
America will survive

We can plow our fields all day long
We can catch catfish from dusk till dawn
Yea we have toughed it out a time or two
Ain't to many things these boys and girls can't do
We grow good ole tomatoes, we got hometown pride
And America can survive
America will survive.

Cause you can't scare us out and you make us run
Cause were them old boys that have freedom and fun
We say grace and we say ma'am
If they don't like that, we don't give a d***
We came from the West Virginia coal mines
The Rocky Mountains and the big city skylines
We can hit back and we're gonna' be fine
Cause this country can survive
America will survive

I had a good friend in New York City
Never called me by my name, just hillbilly
My grandpa taught me how to live off the land
And his taught him to be a good businessman
He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights
I'd send him some of granddaddy Williams homemade muscadine wine
He was lost like so many in the terrible strife
we're all asking God, why oh why
A tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye
That's an old slogan we're gonna' revive
Because America can survive
America will survive

Cause you can't scare us out, and you can't make us run
we're them boys and girls with freedom and fun
We say grace and we say ma'am
If they don't like that, we give less than a d***
We're from North California and South Alabam'
And all they've done is unite this whole land
There's no more Yankees and Rebels this time
But one united people that stand behind
America can survive
America will survive

Default RE: Most meaningfull lyrics

this one just hit me last night and i listened to it for like an hour

kottonmouth kings - where im going?

this is the first verse.

sometimes i lie awake at night tryn' to figure it out,
is my life goin' north or is it headin' south?
im walking a fence between wrong and right.
trying to keep a level head and keep my goals in site.
but its hard as hell in this world today,
friends i known for many years started acting strange.
things i cared about before seemed to fad away
and im left with is questions of when this will change.
when is this train going to get back on track?
when am i even going to care about that?
why am i the one who's always delt the bad cards?
took the easy road so long and now my life's hard.
still i try to make it work out for the best.
even know i gotta clean up all of this mess.
if i knew when i started where this all would end i think id probably do it all over again

(choris)
i don't know where im goin'
but i know where i been.
went from havin' a little to havin' alot
i came from the bottom now im standin' on top
i don't know where im goin'
but i know where i been.
i seem some people cry cause loved one died
i looked in people eyes been told some lies.
where where where do we go, where do we go from here?

Here are a few more.

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IGsDYotzTE]The Outlaws - Green Grass & High Tides - Part One[/link]
[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9-_bQ23wgg&feature=related]The Outlaws - Green Grass & High Tides Part Two[/link]

In a place you only dream of
Where your soul is always free
Silver stages, golden curtains
Filled my head, plain as can be
As a rainbow grew round the sun
All the stars I've love who died
Came from somewhere beyond the scene you see
These lovely people played just for me
Now if I let you see this place
Where stories all ring true
Will you let me past your face
To see what's really you
It's not for me I ask these questions
As though I were a king
For you have to love, believe and feel
Before the burst of tamborines take you there

Green grass and high tides forever
Castles of stone souls and glory
Lost faces say we adore you
As kings and queens bow and play for you

Those who don't believe me
Find your souls and set them free
Those who do, believe and love
As time will be your key
Time and time again I've thanked them
For a piece of mind
They helped me find myself
Amongst the music and the rhyme
That enchants you there

Green grass and high tides forever
Castles of stone souls and glory
Lost faces say we adore you
As kings and queens bow and play for you

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiRXv2ZlvuA]Full Circle from The Outlaws[/link]
This is a great song, everything come full circle!

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKraf_V0ZPc]Steppenwolf - Snowblind Friend[/link]
This really is a great song, to mean people forget, that Rock music isn't always about high energy rifts, and fast tempos.

You say it was this morning when you last saw your good friend
Lyin' on the pavement with a misery on his brain
Stoned on some new potion he found upon the wall
Of some unholy bathroom in some ungodly hall
He only had a dollar to live on 'til next Monday
But he spent it on some comfort for his mind
Did you say you think he's blind?

Someone should call his parents, a sister or a brother
And they'll come to take him back home on a bus
But he'll always be a problem to his poor and puzzled mother
Yeah he'll always be another one of us
He said he wanted Heaven but prayin' was too slow
So he bought a one way ticket on an airline made of snow
Did you say you saw your good friend flyin' low?
Flyin' low
Dyin' slow

You say it was this morning when you last saw your good friend
Lyin' on the pavement with a misery on his brain
Stoned on some new potion he found upon the wall
Of some unholy bathroom in some ungodly hall
He only had a dollar to live on 'til next Monday
He said he wanted Heaven but prayin' was too slow
So he bought a one way ticket on an airline made of snow
Did you say you saw your good friend flyin' low?
Flyin' low
Dyin' slow
Flyin low
Dyin' slow
Flyin' on snow

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Djubl5ePbM]Old & Wise from Alan Parsons[/link]
Here is another one, classified as rock, but does it sound like it, no, they have a FULL orchestra playing with them!

As far as my eyes can see
There are shadows approaching me
And to those I left behind
I wanted you to know
You've always shared my deepest thoughts
You follow where I go

And oh, when I'm old and wise
Bitter words mean little to me
Autumn winds will blow right through me
And someday in the mist of time
When they asked me if I knew you
I'd smile and say you were a friend of mine
And the sadness would be lifted from my eyes
Oh, when I'm old and wise

As far as my eyes can see
There are shadows surrounding me
And to those I leave behind
I want you all to know
You've always shared my darkest hours
I'll miss you when I go

And oh, when I'm old and wise
Heavy words that tossed and blew me
Like autumn winds, will blow right through me
And someday in the mist of time
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine
As the final curtain falls before my eyes
Oh when I'm Old and wise

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee8RkWgn7HE&feature=related%20&fmt=18]Psychobabble from Alan Parsons Project! [/link]
Normaly Elmer Gantry is the lead singer, but in this case it was sung by Eric Woolfson.

Tell you 'bout a dream
That I have every night
Tell you 'bout a dream
That I have every night

It ain't Kodachrome and
It isn't black and white
Take me for a fool
If you feel that's right
Well, I'm never on my own
But there's nobody in sight

I don't know why
I'm scared of the lightning
Trying to reach me
I can't turn to the
Left or the right

I'm too scared to run
And I'm too weak to fight
But I don't care it's all
Psychobabble rap to me
Psychobabble

Tell you 'bout a dream
That I have every night
It's in Dolby stereo
But I never hear it right

Take me for a fool
Well, that's all right
Well, I see the way to go
But there isn't any light

I don't know why
I'm scared of the lightning
Trying to reach me
Help me to find
What I don't wanna know

You're taking me there
But I don't wanna go
I don't care it's all
Psychobabble rap to me

Psychobabble
All psychobabble
Psychobabble
All psychobabble

I don't care it's all
Psychobabble rap to me

You're readin' my mind
You won't look in my eyes
You say I do things
That I don't realize

But I don't care it's all
Psychobabble rap to me

Psychobabble
All psychobabble
Psychobabble
All psychobabble

You're lighting a scene
that's faded to black
I threw it away 'cause
I don't want it back
But I don't care it's all
Psychobabble rap

Sum 41 - Best Of Me

It's so hard to say that I'm sorry
I'll make everything alright

All these things that I've done
Now what have I become, and where'd I go wrong?
I don't mean to hurt just to put you first
I won't tell you lies
(I'm sorry)
I will stand accused
With my hand on my heart
I'm just trying to say

I'm sorry
It's all that I can say
You mean so much
And I'd fix all that I've done
If I could start again
I'd throw it all away
To the shadows of regrets
And you would have the best of me

I know that I can't take back all of the mistakes
But I will try
Although it's not easy
I know you believe me
Cause I would not lie
Don't believe their lies
Told from jealous eyes
They don't understand
(I'm sorry)
I won't break your heart
I won't bring you down
But I will have to say

I'm sorry
It's all that I can say
You mean so much
And I'd fix all that I've done
If I could start again
I'd throw it all away
To the shadows of regrets
And you would have the best of me

Snow Patrol - Run

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Only for sure

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder, Louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why can't you raise your voice to say

Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

war head... ive lost faith in our country, in its people, in its government, however, i care alot about our men out fighting this war, they receive all my respect, my grandpa was a vet in WWII and it gives me pride that he loved his country so much, he was willing to risk his life for it, i wish i could feel that way.

BTW Surfin Bird is most likely the stupidest, most repetitive joke of a song i think exists out there!

ever listen to Feedom Fighter by Creed? its a good song.

i made myself sad now[&o]
I don't have to wish I felt that way, I do, I feel that it is my Duty! If the day every comes, I will be more then willing to protect what so many have died for.....freedom.

Sorry to not post the lyrics, but I think most will know them.
Metallica-One
The Beatles-Yesterday
They both hit me for some reason.

Billy Talent - Pins And Needles

Never understood how she could,
Mean so little to so many
Why does she mean everything to me?

Is it worth the pain, with no one to blame?
For all of my insecurities
How did I ever let you go?

Questioning her good intention
Jealousy's a bad invention
When you push on glass, it's bound to break

Even when she was defensive,
It just gave me more incentive
The more you squeeze, the more it slips away

I never walked so far on a lonely street
With no-one there for me
Is it worth the pain, with no one to blame?
For all of my insecurities
How did I ever let you go?

Accept this confession!
I'm walking on pins and needles
You're not my possession! ...I'm walking on pins and needles
My conscience is vicious! ...I'm walking on pins and needles
I'm begging forgiveness! ...I'm walking on pins and needles

I never walked so far on a lonely street,
With no one there for me
It took so long to see her in misery
And now it's clear to me

That it's worth the pain, always take the blame
For all your own insecurities
How did I ever let you go?

Stom, from Lynyrd Skynyrd!

There was a time that you believed
That nothing could happen to you
You were in a place - deep in a hole
So dark that you could not see

Everyday the rain won't fall
The sun will come out and shine on us all
There's a light at the end for you my friend
Oh, take it from me...
The Storm will someday end
Will someday end

So much has changed inside your heart
We can tell it's tearin' you apart
We share your pain and feel your hurt
But holy water cleanses the dirt

Everyday the rain won't fall
The sun will come out and shine on us all
There's a light at the end for you my friend
Oh, take it from me...
The Storm will someday end

Yeah
You were
Stuck in a hole

Everyday the rain won't fall
The sun will come out and shine on us all
There's a light at the end for you my friend
Oh, take it from me...
Everyday the rain won't fall
The sun will come out and shine on us all
There's a light at the end for you my friend
Oh, take it from me...
The Storm will someday end
It's gonna end
It's gotta end!

If anyone is wondering, stom is dedicated to Ean Evans, who had cancer, and was dying while recording some of the songs on the album.

Rip Ean.
We will miss you.

Still Unbroken also from Lynyrd Skynyrd

Broken bones, broken hearts
Stripped down and torn apart
A little bit of rust - I'm still runnin'

Countin' miles, countin' tears
Twisted roads, shiftin' gears
Year after year - it's all or nothin'

But I'm not home, I'm not lost
Still holdin' on to what I got
Ain't much left
No there's so much that's been stolen
I guess I've lost everything I've had
But I'm not dead, at least not yet
Still alone, still alive, Still UNBROKEN
I'm still alone, still alive,
I'M STILL UNBROKEN

Never captured, never tamed
Wild horses on the plains
You can call me lost - I call it FREEDOM

I feel the spirit in my soul
It's something Lord I can't control
I'M NEVER GIVIN UP WHILE I'M STILL BREATHIN!

I'm not home, I'm not lost
Still holdin' on to what I got
Ain't much left
Lord there's so much that's been stolen
I guess I've lost everything I've had
I'm not dead, at least not yet
Still alone, still alive, Still UNBROKEN
I'm still alone, still alive,
STILL UNBROKEN
I'm still unbroken
Still Unbroken

Like the wind, like the rain
It's all runnin through my veins
Like a river pouring down into the ocean

I'm out here on the streets
But I'm standing on my feet
Still alive, still alone, still unbroken

I'm not home, I'm not lost
Still holdin' on to what I got
Ain't much left
Lord there's so much that's been STOLEN
Guess I've lost everything I've had
But I'm not dead, at least not yet
Still alive, still alone, Still Unbroken
I'm still alone, still alive,
I'M STILL UNBROKEN

I'M STILL ALONE!
STILL ALIVE!
STILL UNBROKEN!
I'M STILL UNBROKEN!

I ain't never going down!
I'M STILL UNBROKEN!

He floated back down 'cause he wanted to share
This key to the locks on the chains he saw everywhere.
But first he was stripped
And then he was stabbed
By a faceless man, but for good reason.......
He still stands.
And he still gives his love
He just gives it away
The love he receives is the love
That is saved.........
And sometimes is seen a great spot in the sky....
A human being that was given to fly.......

Given to Fly by Pearl Jam from the Yield album.........
Absolutely beautiful song.

Simple life, Lynyrd skynyrd

Hey, when is the last time you sat down and had dinner with your kids?
Talked about what's going on in their lives?
Hey, when is the last time you just stopped and helped somebody out?
I bet you can't remember

Well younger people are sayin'
'We're changing for the better'
Well that don't interest me

I like the simple life the way it used to be
We left our doors wide open
We didn't need no key
I've been around the world seen all there is to see
I'd trade all those memories for one more day
How it used to be
I like the simple life

I wanna get up Sunday mornin'
Go fishin' with my boy
Watch the sunset kick back in my yard
Take my Harley on a real long lazy sunday drive
And do a little more nothin' once in a while

Yeah maybe kick my feet up
Maybe watch a little re-run on TV
Laughin' with ol' Barney, Andy and Aunt Bee

I like the simple life the way it used to be
We left our doors wide open
We didn't need no key
I've been around the world seen all there is to see
I'd trade all those memories for one more day
How it used to be
I like the simple life

Yeah everything's going by so fast
I swear sometimes we just can't see
So caught up in where we're trying to get
Life as we know it, could be gone in a minute

I like the simple life the way it used to be
We left our doors wide open
We didn't need no key
I've been around the world seen all there is to see
I'd trade all those memories for one more day
I like the simple life
I like the simple life
I want the simple life yeaaah

My homie wrote this one.

Longway – Angles Never Answer

Don’t tell me how to live.
My life’s brought me a troubled past.
I asked myself how do I forgive,
how am I supposed to understand

I’ve been dealt a deal that I can’t win
Living my life sin my sin

Take me away, take me
The angles never answer
They don’t know my feeling or my pain,
no they never answer
The angles never answer anymore.

Sometime I wish I was a boy again and i would have no fear
Because im a man from a land where the trouble understand how to make it self clear

I’ve been dealt a deal that I can’t win
Living my life sin my sin

Take me away, take me
The angles never answer
They don’t know my feeling or my pain,
no they never answer.
The angles never answer anymore

Do you believe in ever after?
Do you believe that we’ll ever meet again?
Do you believe that time moves faster when your gone?
and do you think that our time was well spent?

ORIGINAL: rc rock

i'll start lol

song: civil war
artist: Guns n roses
album: no idea
did you know the guns n roses are coming up with a new album???

lyrics that moved me:

My hands are tied
The billions shift from side to side
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
And all these things are swept aside
By bloody hands time can't deny
And are washed away by your genocide
And history hides the lies of our civil wars

D'you wear a black armband
When they shot the man
Who said ''Peace could last forever''
And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy
I went numb when I learned to see
So I never fell for Vietnam
We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land

I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war......
Use your illusion 1. - The album.

Some of the lyrics from the album appetite for destruction mean a lot to me, but I can't post them here. lol. I would definitely agree that Guns n Roses are up there with the greatest rock acts of all time.

Coming Back for More, Lynyrd Skynyrd

I ain't the kind to stick around without it
It'd be a crime 'cause man I'm all about it
It's in my blood
It keeps me breathin'
It's like a drug - gotta have the feeling

It's been awhile since I've seen your face
What a shame, what a waste

I've been up, I've been down
I've been kicked to the ground
But I can't get my mind off of you
So I keep on movin' on to a place I belong
Hopin' you wanted me to
I'm better than I was before
I'm knocking at your door
I'm coming back for more

Some say it's love
Some say it's hate
I'm here to tell you it's never too late
If you don't use it
Man you're gonna lose it
Your sweet little nothings are what I call music

It's been awhile since I've seen your face
What a shame, what a waste

I've been up, I've been down
I've been kicked to the ground
But I can't get my mind off of you
So I keep on movin' on to a place I belong
Hopin' you wanted me to
I'm better than I was before
I'm knocking at your door
I'm coming back for more

I keep comin' back, comin' back for more
I keep comin' back, yeah I need a little more
I keep comin' back, comin' back for more
I keep comin' back...back...back

I've been up, I've been down
I've been kicked to the ground
But I can't get my mind off of you
So I keep on movin' on to a place I belong
Hopin' you wanted me to
I'm better than I was before
I'm knocking at your door
I'm coming back for more

I keep comin' back, comin' back for more

The Last Rebel Lynyrd Skynyrd

There's a grey horse standin' still
As a soldier climbs in the saddle for one last ride
As the rain pours off his hat
You can see the shadows of the past written in his eyes

Now the cannons are silent
His friends are all gone
Gotta put it all behind him
If he ever wants to find his way home
He's the last rebel on the road

Just a boy with his old guitar
Keeps to himself but everybody takes him wrong
But he carries on
Got a dream that will never die
Can't change him, no use in stayin' where you don't belong

Now he's rollin' down the highway
Gone too far too fast
No one will ever find him, he'll never look back

'cause he's the last rebel
And he's all alone
He's the last rebel
His friends are all gone
He's the last rebel
The last rebel on the road

There'll never be another like him
He's the last of a dying breed
Ain't no use in tryin' to tame him
'cause he's the last rebel

'cause he's the last rebel
And he's all alone
He's the last rebel
His friends are all gone
He's the last rebel
The last rebel on the road

There'll never be another like him
He's the last of a dying breed
Ain't no use in tryin' to tame him
'cause he's the last rebel

Manhattan Project from Rush

Imagine a time when it all began
In the dying days of a war
A weapon that would settle the score
Whoever found it first would be sure to do their worst
They always had before...

Imagine a man where it all began
A scientist pacing the floor
In each nation, always eager to explore
To build the best big stick
To turn the winning trick
But this was something more...

The big bang took and shook the world
Shot down the rising sun
The end was begun and it hit everyone
When the chain reaction was done
The big shots tried to hold it back
Fools tried to wish it away
The hopeful depend on a world without end
Whatever the hopeless may say

Imagine a place where it all began
Gathered from across the land
To work in the secrecy of the desert sand
All of the brightest boys
To play with the biggest toys
More than they bargained for...

Imagine a man when it all began
The pilot of 'Enola Gay'
Flying out of the shockwave on that August day
All the powers that be, and the course of history
Would be changed forevermore...
