We had some of the most impressive thunder storms this morning.... Woke me up from a dead sleep. They must have been right over my house because they were LOUD.

Online Car Auctions

You do not need to know about cars in order to get a good car at online car auctions. What you do need to know are a few secrets on how the bidding is conducted in order to get your dream car.Sometimes it's hard to find good deals on anything. Most people don't realize that there is a way to save thousands of dollars when they want to buy a new car. If you can find a repo car for sale at a public or government auction you can save big. And if you really do your homework you can buy an almost brand new car or truck at a huge discount.

I'm thinking about asking for one of these alum car stands for Christmas:
http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...car-stand.html

Seems a bit pricey, but looks cool. I have a cheap plastic purple one currently, this one looks much nicer.

Display? Display?!? Nah, I prefer to obsess over the paint job design, take forever to complete it, have it look flawless, and then trash it after 1 week of running. No time for display. That's how I roll. [8D]

I always struggle with the Christmas list every year. I mean, I'm very happy to have what I have, but my "wish list" tends to be things like "Tamiya F-150", not exactly smaller things family members can get. Gift cards are fine, but kinda lame to ask for.

So maybe I'll shoot for some RC accessories this year.

I have some free time lately, so if anyone needs some paintjobs, I can airbrush them for you. I am poor so I will need some money though. But I used to paint bodies for magazines/racers etc etc, so I would like to say I can do a good job

Yeah, you were pretty buried in that stuff once upon a time, Auto. If I need you, I'll let you know.

Do you have a couple pics to post of some of the stuff you've done?

I am sure your wife can get you a F-150.. you are only asking for a Tamiya kit.. not a real life truck, man...

Not sure about that. We normally don't spend much on each other for Christmas (less than $100). We keep a pretty tight budget.

I got one for Lee before.. if you want that, you let me know.. I can get the normal discount on that thing.. (instead of paying full MSRP at the Tamiya website)

Unless, of course, you need it right away..

That's good, man.. we don't typically "celebrate" anything (birthday, Christmas, etc.) by giving gifts.. never been doing that since we were young..

But now that I am older.. I usually buy things without waiting for that special occasion.. the reasoning is.. if I know I am going to get it anyway, might as well do it now.. instead of wait until Christmas / birthday / etc.

I know, I am just giving myself excuses.. LOL!

Will do! This is more of a "thinking about a Christmas list" thing. I think my kids got me started. If I go that route, I'd have to put the potential buyer (family, probably just my brother) in contact with you. We'll see.

Yeah, full MSRP is brutal.

Is it magnetized?
