ok, boohoo somebody made "fun" of my car! you know i try to be nice and mature and you start up again? you know how many times people say how crappy my cars are? "oh fieros start on fire" "oh miata's are for girls" "volvos are square and slow" "dodge sucks" do i care? NO! i like my car thats all that matters, i dont have to proove my point. you are always busting my chops about my fiero, well guess what? i dont give a damn.

hey, you want me to make fun of cars? i wholeheartedly believe that mustangs are ugly, slow, overpriced, poor handling, rattle boxes, that twist up, rust out, break down and fall apart. now im making fun of your car.

now if you where a strong mature person, you will take what i said and ignore it instead of trying to defend it by retaliation.

I'm in that camp. The car I have won't win any races - when you see comments about how if a car can't do X in a 1/4 mile or under Y seconds in 0-60, it's crap, you can't help but feel that it's a shot at your car.

But in the end, it's about what you being happy with the car you bought - you bought it to suit your needs (which differ from person to person), and that's what's important. I must admit I struggled a bit with getting the car I have now (due to the "slow" jabs you might take, when you interact a lot with folks who drive much quicker vehicles). But I decided this was the car I wanted for a variety of reasons, and so am very happy with it.


Let's not turn this into a "my car is better than yours" rip-fest. It's just childish.

Oh I agree completely. That's why I don't pm people about their cars and say how crappy they are. I may poke jabs here and there, even at LB's GT3, doesn't mean anything.

The reason I take offence to PM's like this is because 1:1 cars is my #1 hobby. I love my cars and take very much pride in them. I Just hate to wake up and login to these forums and see pm's left by someone who apparently could care less and trashes my cars. Just not nice or needed.

Good nature jabs between friends are okay... but I guess since this is online.. you don't know how others would take it, so I generally don't do that.. I will do that to AutoX because we met in person numerous times so I don't think he would mind.. (and vice versa)

But yeah, at the end of the day, we just got to be happy w/ what we do / what we got / etc. Some people stretch their finance and drive some fancy cars.. some people are conservative and save up a lot of $$$.. some people simply has a lot of $$$, and some people don't.. it could be for whatever reasons.. my boss got a new car.. a 2010 Accord Crosstour.. (seriously..) He can drive any cars he wants.. (I mean, he can afford whatever he wants..) But he is not into cars..

To be honest the Mazdaspeed 3 is on my list of winter cars to get, but it depends on my current job situation at the time. I always liked the 3's even the regular ones look really slick and have a uniqueness to them that I like.

Agreed. I can't get past the smile of the new gen 3s.

I would have gotten a Speed3 (it was in the budget since I was buying used), but manual is a no-go for the wife. Maybe I should've pushed her on that. Naaah....I'd probably have 3 speeding tickets and a new set of tires by now. [8D]

Evidently there was a "smoking turbo" issue on some of the speed 3s, but it got resolved in some fashion. Don't recall which years though.
