Eman, I guess you'd have to drill out those 2 screws then... not sure if there's any screw extractor that small.. maybe.. you should go to a hardware store and look for it...

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
Then probably just drill out the head, take the diff apart, and use a plier and get the screw out.. (after the diff case is off, you'd have enough room to clamp it down w/ some plier)

Maybe this will do:

LB - not sure what you mean. If I drill out/off the head, I still don't see how I'd get the diff case off, since the screw threads still go thru the ring gear and the diff cover.

My desktop PC is a ninja beast. I just don't know if I could live without the performance any more. Only the top Alienware laptop with a solid state hard drive would give my desktop a run for its money (on general speed of windows, not graphics). But the XPSes are nice machines to be sure. If I was to get a laptop it would be one of those or an alienware. Thing is I have a lot of peripherals which I use, several diffferent joysticks, a couple of different mice, a logitech wheel... just doesn't make sense for me to switch to a laptop as a primary machine.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
sorry to hear about your car Mech, that really sucks, although maybe i can go one better...
the day i picked my brand new car up, i got a puncture on the way home (or at the dealership, most likely)
the second day, some idiot in a white van reversed into the back of my car, causing a white scrape on the numberplate surround [:@]

And when they find out you took your car to SCCA event, they void your warranty... LOL!
It was a big thing in the car forum, I am sure you read about it.. ha!

I know that at least for the 2002 WRX, buying one included a 1 year membership in the SCCA.

The screw is only threaded into the lower part of the assembly, right? The first part (the cover) is a through hole, no??
Does not make sense to have threads on both parts...

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
I see what you mean - you might be right. But the entire screw head is below the level of the surface of the flat part of the ring gear (think: countersunk, but not with a CS head on the screw). Thus, nothing is exposed from teh screw head - no idea how I'd tear that sucker off...nothign to grab onto! It's all recessed.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
Just use one size smaller drill bit and drill into center of the screw. You only want to drill down a tiny amount so you can snap the top off. It shoudl leave a tiny piece at the bottom where you can use a plier to get rest of the screw out of the diff cup.
BTW is it the metal diff cups or the plastic one?

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
I think that makes sense, although I'm pessimistic. I'll give it a shot.
Secretsg - plastic diff cup, metal ring gear. Want to upgrade to GCM metal diff cups, but they're out of my $$ range right now.

Plastic diff cup?! Maybe you should just cut into that and trash it... and get another plastic one (sounds like they are not too $$$) or upgrade to the metal one that you wanted?! Hmm..
But yeah, give it a shot, Eman, good luck!!

Yeah, stock one should be fine.. !! I am sure you can get the screws off, no worry! Just need some patience.. (and be careful!)

I'd guess the E-Savvy has different setup compare to the nitro Savvy..
The new Flux steps up to the nitro spec, right?! So I am guessing the E-Savvy is slightly different than the nitro ones..

Looks like Pajero has been discontinued.. I pulled my ad off eBay.. put the 2 away into the Warehouse.. closing down the Pajero sale.. LOL! All in all, my experiment was fun.. I ended up selling a bunch of Pajero.. it was pretty fun.. and also show you that the RC market in US is pretty small.. that one can buy out Tower's stock so easily... [&:] (they don't hold more than 10 kits at any moment, I'd guess, unless it is a cheaper or more popular kit?)
