I love the Blizzard, but man... $250 and a mechanical speed controller? [sm=angry.gif]
And yeah, I've run dozens of hump packs through the Levant without overheating.

No BL in my Blizzard.. just silvercan w/ some cheap waterproof LRP ESC! I don't want it to go too fast in the snow.. ha!! Silvercan is perfect!!

ha! didn't you put brushless in yours? yeah the MSC was what put me off of buying one in the first place.

Well, at least you know you're over the limit, so if you fry your ESC on a hot summer day, you won't get too upset.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
I'm sure my understanding of current is poor. So, I run 2s in my Levant - that's 7.4V. A 7 cell NiMh would be 8.4V. But the LiPo (mine is 5000 mAh, 25C) puts out more amps than the hump pack (or so I'm guessing). I get that (esp. since I purposefully got a high enough C rating and capacity to support the E-Sav BL project).
I thought the volts would matter too though...?

Yeah, a lot of time you are just full throttle on the Blizzard and steer.. hee hee.. !!

It came with a Msc for a good reason. No need to worry about putting in and warranty a wateproof esc.

Eman, see SecretSG's post.. and to clarify, what he was saying is that while the hump back might read 8.4V when there's no load, when you are accelerating hard, the voltage is gonna drop.. or the current demand is simply higher than what the cells are capable of.. while the LiPo can maintain that voltage and can provide up to 25C (in your case) which is a lot of current..
Power = I^2 * R. So if your LiPo can provide more current, your setup is gonna put out more power..
Of course, this is only if your power setup requires such current.. so a LiPo would act the same as NiMH if you are just using silvercan (well, kind of) but would separate the boyz from the men when you are running, say, 7700kv BL.. since a silvercan does not put enough demand on the battery to make the difference..
