Those are pretty good pics Auto, especially considering the indoor lighting and speed situation. How'd the Losi do?

I can't believe how well it handled.
Here is another T-shirt

Nice shirts! LOL The only time I've had jury duty is a few days before my fantasy football draft, so I brought my magazine and planned my whole draft out while I waited. Then I read part of a novel. It was a pretty nice time. Never got called up to even be asked any questions.
Better luck next time on the Losi! Did you damage the diff at all, or...?

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
So I've made a lot of progress on the E-Savage, did a little test last night. I owe you guys pics for sure.
I've now got shock socks on that thing from badhorsie (the less often I have to rebuild 8 shocks, the better!), put new bullets on the motor/MM ESC and they're connected. Made a y-splitter (deans) so I can run 4s LiPo, wired in the BEC. Wires are all as neat as I could get them (although I wish I had black cable ties instead of clear - looks better). Medusa motor is in place, with a heatsink. Got a fan running over the MM as well.
Since I've got a custom chassis, the stock E-Sav battery trays won't work (nor would the LiPos fit anyway). So I bought some Kyosho twinforce trays, did some minor mods (dremeling, added a few more holes) to bolt them to the chassis. They'll protect the batteries quite well! All that's in place too.
Also got some wider offset maximizer beadlock rims in place. The difference should help handling for sure.
Just need to do some minor odds and ends, program my charger with a new profile for the LiPos, charge 'em up, and take it for a test spin!
I'll try to post some pics tonight/tomorrow.

No damage to the Losi, just the bolt, 2 dollar part.
I really cannot wait to get out there I am so pleased with this old buggies handling. And it might be the strongest RC I own. The fact that it chips concrete off with hardly a scratch makes it great for me to learn electric racing.

thats one thing i like about older rc's, they are stronger than newer ones and way back they actually had to be tuned, not like the new ones that are more to show who has more money for a bigger battery pack or a faster motor.

Good job though, I know that lazy feeling [:'(].... I have seen guys snap an a-arm or two racing indoors, go off a jump at like 20 MPH sideways, land on your a-arm, CRUNCH, its toast. One guy ran part of a race untill his car snacked into a concrete retaining wall (holding the dirt in) and that ended his race []

They would actually do REAL well its just someone would try and do the flick the tires in mid jump to correct the car, well, that didn't work so well since it was a 2 wheeler. These guys would actually go flying off the jumps and land with prety much no problems. I have a vid somewhere

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
There's something to be said about the durability of 2WD buggies, I agree - having a less complicated and lighter vehicle certainly helps! There are always exceptions of course, but in general I think it's true.
Took the Durga out at lunch today, beat it up pretty good again. Had a few fun jumps off of a mulch pile (tricky though, since the ground was so rough leading up to it - made for a tough approach). Good times! Real nice weather here today too.

Not true, the car lacks in traction compared to new buggies because it is so darn stiff. And I have yet to see someone brake a 2WD buggy at the track, I am pretty confident that 2wd 1/10th scale are durable across the board.

Yeah, but plastic has give to it - so instead of bending parts in every wreck, you can bounce back. Sure, some vintage stuff was really tough (look at the RC10 original stealth tranny, and that particular tub chassis) - but a lot of the new stuff is pretty durable too. I think it just depends on the make/model, how good that company's plastics are, etc.

Vintage FTW!
hey AutoXMan, did you see that there was a massive Guild Wars update yesterday? i think the download was somewhere around 10-15 MB. i haven't seen an update that big in quite a while, and as it turns out they really overhauled much of the core functionality of the game.
not much in the way of new content, but i think i'm going to start playing again.

RE: THE LOUNGE 3...
I keep racking up GW pets like the no tomorrow. I have like 4 lvl 20's all with like 4 or 5 pets. (Have had an account since launch basically). But I dont play anymore, although I might install it on my pc once again, but I only have the original game.
