Ha, thanks for the offer Auto.. but I think I might keep the 6-wheeler.. I can still get the DF-03Ra pretty easily, so... sorry.. !

I will make sure if I ever want to sell it, I will let you know first, how's that?!

ORIGINAL: AutoXMan

Tamiya one FTW if you want precision... I really don't think Yeah Racing is going to be better than 3R..

ORIGINAL: AutoXMan

So I bought a 3 racing steering setup for the DF03RA, man is it sloppy, bad machining Ill have to try the year racing one now [:@]

It was close.. !! Problem within 10 minutes of the launch.. one of the sub system was a no go.. (we were at East Causeway, they set up the PA system to broadcast the command center communication.. and you can just see everyone like, "ah, crap".. and then, with like a few seconds before the launch window closes, the communication came through.. "Range is go" (that was the sub system that had a problem).. everyone busted into cheers.. LOL!!

At the end, they started the final countdown within like 2 seconds of the launch window expiring.. Say what?! A little bit over dramatic for me.. ha ha! I mean, even in a James Bond movie, you usually got 7 seconds left.. (usually read "007" on the count down clock.. hee)

LB got his Launch! Watched it on the idiot box.

Not loud.. but more like, rumbling... and it is weird, cause you don't hear it until it is in the air, since you are a few miles away.. and light travels faster than sound, blah blah blah.. So it was in the air for awhile, and then, you start to feel the sound coming in... sweet!

We were at the East Causeway.. which is the closest spot you can get being a civilian.. we picked a good spot too, right in front of the count down clock.. will post some pics this weekend.. !!

wow lb that was close.

i finally started gathering parts for a rc10 racer, what is know on rc10talk and a "old is new racer".

rc10t nose plate and bulkhead
carbon fiber rc10t shock towers
rc10gt wide front axles
b44 cvd's
rpr rc10t rear hub carriers
dynotech klein front and rear a-arms
ae viper body
jconcepts 6.5" wing
b4 top shaft and slipper assembly
jconcepts rulux wheels all around

i also have a 10t that i'm almost done building up and i may use the white parts on the car and the black/carbon parts on the truck.
depends on how i feel when all the parts are together.

basically what these parts do is max out the width of the car to modern roar limits and allow the use of modern tires and wheels, plus they look awesome.

lots of stuff:

chassis
trans (stealth)
c hubs
steering blocks
bell cranks, but i have some cool vintage alloy a&l's on there.
rear arm mounts
rear bulkhead
the viper body fits the stock car, i'm going to have to trim it down to fit through the 10t front tower.

i was going to spend this $$ on a couple of beat up tl01's i got for free but then i decided to "invest" it into a car i actually like and will run.

is it possible to take a servo channel and turn it into a switchable light thingy? basically if i connect the red and black wires to a bulb the bulb is always on, i want the bulb to be switchable from the toggle.. the toggle operates a servo but that uses the white wire as well.. anyone understand? Yes, Lee...all you need is a Pico switch. ThunderbirdJunkie did it on his SC10.

i love'em lb, it's just tl01's are kinda low on the totem pole. and i don't like onroad cars so i would make a tl01b out of them and that would cost more then buying one new.

anyone need a pair of tl01b parts cars? one of them is 95% complete the other 70%.

Ahh, gotcha.

Darnit if Associated called their body the Viper, what did HPI call theirs? Ugh, can't remember...it was a great looking buggy body though. Much better than the atrocious cab-forward bullcrap nowadays.
