I regret that I let the closeness of my relationship with my long time friend, with whom I flew 747-400 for nearly twenty years, cloud my judgement. His frustration with the situation and the authorities in Taiwan rubbed off on me and I was lashing out at a situation in a manner that does not at all reflect my true feelings.
The inconsiderate and dangerous person who is flying models and intentionally scaring his horses needs to be identified and stopped, but my recommendation of crashing his aircraft was out of character and out of line. This careless RC pilot could eventually create a terrible situation that will affect modelers around the world so beyond the situation with my friend's horses, he needs to be stopped and educated.
I apologize to the readers on this forum, Andy Griffiths, moderator for RCU, and especially to the membership and leaders of AMA for my inconsiderate remarks. I am a faithful and devoted AMA member and volunteer and would never intentionally damage the organization or its reputation.
