I built a Ryan from a kit about 12 years ago and I flew it for about 1 year with the help of my boss. He helped me with the build and would tether his radio to mine in case I messed up.
He received a promotion about a year later and I hung up the plane and it's been in the basement for 10 years.
My interest has started to peak now that I am near retirement, but to my shagrin , when I pulled the plane from it's unexpected rest, the cowling is no where in sight.
It is a Great Planes Ryan STA with a 49" wingspan,
If there is anyone who could steer me to a parts place, or recommend a website I would be truly grateful.
