Default OMP Extra 300 50cc

I have an OMP 50cc Extra 300 and using DLE55 with stock muffler. I was wondering where the best place is to cut for the exit air. I was thinking about using the canister tunnel instead of cutting up my cowling or should I just forget about the canister tunnel and just open up the bottom of the cowel. This is my first large airplane and just want to have all things go smoothly. If anyone can make any sugestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

if you are using a stock muffler no need to cut canister tunnel openings. Just cut out the bottom of the cowl in the normal spot.
