I am trying to get in OMP web site but getting "403 forbidden" I have been trying for the last few days. I have even tried on other pc but all in vain. Is there another site besides www.ohiomodelplanes.com ?

Halogen, I was able to get in, perhaps you'er being hi jacked. do this, go to www.download.com and do a search for adaware 6.0, once downloaded and installed. what this will do once you run it, it will remove all types of spy ware programs including hi jackers and the sort. Once your done try launching the site again.

Others things to try as well.

Make sure your IE explorer / netscape are both configured correctly for network connectivity.
Delete your cookies and empty your temporary internet folder of its files.

Thanks for the help. I will try what you said, but what I can not understand is why even this happens on all other pc s too at work ? I can go to all websites except OMP, i just get forbidden 403

Is it only the OMP site that having problems with?

Try having a co worker enter the site and see if they can reach it. Could be that your employer has that site blocked.

On your desktop click on the start then run and type in cmd. At the DOS prompt, type the following

ping ohiomodelplanes.com

Once you get the IP address enter it into your web browser address field as follows.

http:// ##.###.###.###

See what this does.

all the computers here cant enter, in my home i can see the site.

try going in through www.megaproxy.com it maybe a block on your firewall. your firewall maybe blocking an entire range of ip address and their subs. our ip address it 12.129.237.159 give that to your tech and ask him to check that against your firewall.

it's working through megaproxy, but you might not get everything to work correct. but should get you what you need. megaproxy works real good to make test against websites that appear to be down, which are really just blocked on your firewall or cache servers. your viewing 2 times to your browser through it, but it works.

Thanks STLPilot, but i use internet mostly at work since I spend most of my time there and I am behind a firewall which does not let me enter megaproxy site.

This problem does not only exist in my country but many other places. I can not understand why the webmaster does not fix this problem. It is frustrating and in my opinion this is very bad for OMP ! OMP should be concerened even if just one person can not enter the site let alone hundreds !

I tried to send an email but I was not even replied! maybe there are server problems.

What i wish to know is, can OMP supply me with rib templates since I have damaged my wing? I had ordered a short kit (ARF too expensive to ship to europe) a few months ago but lost the templates that i had traced. There are no rib templates on the plan sent.

If this is not possible i would like to order another short kit. Can OMP contact me on [email protected] please indicating price to Malta (obviously if templates drawings can not be sent )

I have tested the website from many different countries all over the world over the weekend and it works everywhere just fine. This is not an OMP issue, rather your local cache servers or firewalls issue on your networks. The OMP backbone is IPowerweb for most of our services and they have reported no restrictions.

Now if you noticed that the site was down on Saturday, UUNet had a nationwide outage and they are one of IPowerweb's backbone providers. But it's now back up.

I will find out about the short kit for the Yak ASAP.

please I hope you or OMP are not offended in anyway its that I have tried on so many pc on different networks here in my country that all have the same problem. I do not want to raise a web problem issue in this wonderful forum but I just do not know what to do. Maybe its a problem only found in Malta, but why out of those millions of sites there are, its only with this site im having problems.

Offended? Not at all, in fact I thank you for letting us know. It's just weird kinda that you can't get in our site and can't get in through Megaproxy. You must have some sort of restriction. The omp email is [email protected]

There was a block on 217.xxx.xxx.xxx ip range some time ago. It was due to some hackers trying to ... well hack.

The IP has been lifted, if you were on a 217.xxx.xxx.xxx trying to see us, you should be ok now. The IP restriction has been lifted.

He is reporting that multiple computers are having this problem. My work is cool because well, I am the system administrator for the summer[8D], all my rc sites are at the top hehe.

All of those multiples that had problems were on 217.xxx.xxx.xxx
