47" Yak throttle servo
I've already got the fuse finished, and am thinking of mounting the throttle servo up front behind the engine. I'm guessing I'll just trace an outline of the throttle servo on the ply former....drill a hole inside the outline and use my scroll saw to cut the opening out. Any better ideas?
When you guys do this do you line the opening with some thinned epoxy to protect it?

RE: 47" Yak throttle servo
Yes, that's my usual setup using a mini servo for the throttle mounting up behind the engine. Just trace for the opening and cut the ply, balsa, and foam out of the right side. You can leave the ply on the left side as the mini servos don't go all the way through. Route a hole through the foam from the servo to the center of the wing just like the tail servos. You can drill through from the engine opening if the fuse is already built. Works really slick.

Thanks Mike. Do you worry about protecting the foam with anything? Not sure how it reacts if fuel were to seep into the throttle servo hole.
