65" yak R1 rib
I glued my leading and trailing edge sheeting on before reading that I should make sure the R1 rib is straight, so now it isn't. Luckily, I think, it bows out at the wing tube. Should I do anything to try and shim the leading and trailing areas of R1 or just hope for the best?

I would recomend shiming with balsa at the low spot and sanding flat.
Hit it with CA after you are done to harden the balsa up. Shouldn't take much effort to do and if you don't level the surface, i think you may eventually get "wing wobble".

Yes, Catfish2 is exactly right. Don't worry, we've done that too! Glue some balsa on the root rib where it's bowed inward and then sand flat using a large flat sanding block to make sure the whole rib is flat.
