These models were used to test my building skills as I was not happy with them. I went back to basics armed with a few books by Don Ross, read Pat trittle site end to end, a site called Ragwing Aviation ( Roger Mann designs for part 103). I had to relearn most of what I thought I knew but it was a big help to get me where I'm at today. My biggest change was not using ca for the entire build, grading and weighing balsa for specific loads/applications. all I can say is I should have done this sooner, my first scratch build was a Albert Hatful design called the mercury, modified of course with the gws dxa geared 6-1 robbed from my then new tiger moth (1996 or 97). I am an old free flighter at heart, but love a challenge .I found that if I wanted to build lighter, I had to go back to basics. Thanks for looking.

As I said in the previous post, I don't use ca for the entire build only to join the horizontal and vertical tail group to the fuse. all of the above was constructed with Duco .(except the Buccaneer). The Ranger fuse was lightened and covered with silk span, followed by testors paint. I sent drawings off to callies for the trim. The Hornet covering is easy built lite over clear so lite ( yes double the work but the tissue adds great strength to the fragile so lite) The comet Blue bird is in easy built light only, and the Comet senior dart is full house controls to be done in red and black Texaco scheme.
