Does anyone have this plane and flying it
with the stock gear?
I got everything Together yesterday, no way
it will take off from wheels
so i throttled up - tossed it straight out - down a hill
just to watch it go in about 20 yards away
would have been sooner if not for the downslope of the hill.
i've got it all stock balanced perfect battery is a 7cell 850mah nimh
should be enough uuummp for the little 180 motor.
Looks like i need to make a run to Hobby - lobby for a little axi brushless.
I have some kokam 740 Mah lipo's i could try but there only 7.4 Volt
any hints anyone

The ESC does not limit the current... so the smaller ESC is not the problem. Is the prop installed correctly and not mounted backwards? (Writing on the prop facing forward.)
Here is another thread where the writer says "the stock prop is too small."

What size prop is it?
I would think the battery size is OK, is it fully charged?

its just the way its hanging, with battery and everything rtf
it is perfect on main spar.
I switched speed controls tonight I put a astro models 215d on it
not sure what the rating is on this esc but i also put a apc 8x6 slowflyer prop
and a 3cell 1600 mah lipo pack and it pulled straight up out of my hand and was outa site in a couple seconds.
not sure how long the motor would last doing that but it was neat to see.
didnt fly it but about 10 minutes because i'm not sure what the cutoff is on the esc and didnt want
to burn up the lipo's
does anyoe have specs on this esc?
Thanks

Just a thought, the plane in the photo looks nose heavy.
What is the weight of your plane?
They are a bit heavy.

Glad it is flying.
Rascals are great, when they fly.
I fly a built up kit from Top Flight, 27" and weighs 5.4 ounces.
I love it. But no fun at all if everything is not right.
