Default Xtreme Engine Problem

After a landing in which my ABX nosed over, the engine has not started since. Looking under the canopy, i can see that a resistor on the motor has become unsoldered, so i think this may be the source of the problem. However, my question is, how the hell do i get a soldering iron or some such device, or even just how do i REACH the engine without ripping the thing apart??

You don't. You have to take the guts out to work on it. I recommend you either keep the tail assembly attached to the control lines, or tie them together somehow so they don't come all the way out of the tail boom. Its a pain trying to thread them back in.

Thanks for that (i think haha), gonna be a pain taking the thing apart. However i found that in fact the problem is a rogue black wire. Inside the fuse there are two black and two red wires (from recollection). A black and red wire are connected to the motor, another red wire is connected somewhere else (can;t quite remember)... however my other black wire has been disconnected from the circuit board. If i touch it to the circuit board, anywhere, i am able to get the motor to power up to 100%...
Can someone tell me where this wire goes?

Have the same prob must be a fault with the board ?
My bird flipped on landing thought it was the wind [X(] but on checking wire had come off esc and the diode had blown [:@]

I have tried to fix my self replacing diode etc but still will only run at full speed ? Got to buy new Fuselage

The shop where I bought it said I could have sent it back under warrenty but as I had took it apart I could'nt

If you havent touched it check if it could be fixed under warrenty ? I now it crashed but soldered wires don't usually come of
with a bump

If you need to take the esc out of the fuse just disconect the tail ( bolts underneath ) but leave the cables attached just release
them slightly if you need longer cable to get it out of the front of fuse ?

Just read a link from :
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_23...tm.htm#2315151

About the FET so went and got one and IT WORKS I think I need a bigger rating but at least the power goes up and down

I also had to replace the diode mine had blown

As far as I can read the neg wire goes to the center pin on the FET !!! unless someone knows diff !
