Hobby Lobby/Flying Styro P-38
Anyone have experience with the Flying Styro P-38, looking for comments on building, flying, setups, landing, durability.
It looks like a sweet kit.
Thanks!

Elf,
Check out this months issue of Fly RC magazine, Tom Hunt does a build up on the very plane.
He's had this one for a while, I talked to him about it last summer.

Don't want to direct you away from RC Universe, but there is some posts on E Zone's site...I have one of the P-38s...it is a wonderfully smooth flying model, not difficult to fly. Like all of the foam airplanes it can acquire its share of dings and dents, but you just have to take care of it...it is expensive and the construction is not as simple as the Alpha models for instance. Use the brushless motors as Hobby Lobby calls for, spend some time assembling it. I really like mine.

I am in the process of building a hobby lobby p-38 foam with AXI electrics. This is my first foam model and will most likely be my last. I also have a Robart P-38 which I have not started yet.
Question to Glacier Girl. Have you built a Glacier Girl P-38 yet?

Geno,
Yes hand built my original "Glacier Girl" from balsa.
Looking to go to a VQ models next. Look up thread on Gas to elec conversion that Mookie1 did.
Awesome build.
