From: Flower Mound,
I am trying to select a plane that I can fly in my cul de sac on calm days. It is very well wind protected. I fly gas planes (currently a Four star 60), however my trainer was a wattage Super Impress so I have at least tasted how fun electric can be.
I am in between the various sticks, a GWS Tiger Moth, or the various foamies that are out there. My concern is I want a slow flyer that is not too stressfull to fly in my front yard cul de sac.
Recommendations?

i think a GWS Slow Stick would be good to fly in a cul-de-sac. im sure if you can fly a four star 60 (a very nice plane) you could fly a slow stick in a small area. i know this because i don't have much space myself and im a beginner and i can even fly in a small space.
good luck and have fun with the four star!

I would second the Slow Stick recommendation. My cul-d-sac is pretty small, I feel it is too small for flying in, but a Slow Stick would probably be okay if some one with more experience / confidence was flying it. Can't say that about most other planes.

These are just my opinions but if you want to go small and be sure that you have enough room and since it seems that wind is not an issue you might want to check out the [link=http://www.slowfly.com/category.chtml?category=%24catalog]Flying Dutchman or Super Skeeter by DWE[/link] or [link=http://www.bsdmicrorc.com/]Quick Junior at BSD[/link] the The Plantraco 900 mHz Micro equipment or the RFFS-100 at DWE is what I intend to buy soon. DWE has some vidieo in there forum section you can check out on some of there planes.
I was saving for the DWE Dutchman and RFFS equipment until the plantraco stuff came out now I just dont know. I think I am leaning towards the plantraco stuff but I am not sure if i want to try there TX or go with the buddy box add on for my old TX. When it all comes down to it its what will the wife let me spend.

Shawn makes a good point, if you want a really small plane there are a few interesting options such as those he suggested. Others I have seen are the flying witch, flying pizza, and flying bug. Scroll about halfway down this page for a few examples [link=http://www.towerhobbies.com/listings/cat-cat-a.html]http://www.towerhobbies.com/listings/cat-cat-a.html[/link]. I'm not sure how fast these things fly, but they are only about 20" in size and use all the smallest eletronics, so I don't imagine they could handle too much speed.
