Default Is this batt to much for my Slo-V 370 motor?

I have an extra GWS 9.6 volt 750mAh Ni-MH battery that I would like to try on my stock Slo-V with the 370 motor. I have different props to choose from....1047,1060 or a 1260 which is on the plane now. This battery is light but is 9.6 to many volts for this motor?????

I would say yes, you are looking at burning out your motor prematurely. The 300 motors I"ve seen are all rated a 6V. What is the gear ratio on the Slo-V? 6.6 to 1?

Not sure about the gear ratio (its stock) but I am using the recomened batt upgrade...8.4 volt 600mAH with no problems. It would be nice to use this lighter 9.6...................Thanx

It's not like you'll use the 9.6V battery and it will start on fire, or anything dramatic. You'll just get less life out of it. Try it and see. Start with the 1060 and see what you think. Here is a handy program that helps you figure out what the possibilites are. It's not 100% accurate, so use it as a guide.

Keep amps under 8.
