Well here's my story with the Aerobird Extreme, I'm a complete beginner and have no one to show me how to fly so I've spent hours reading this forum and downloading all the videos and watching how others fly!
My first outing lasted about 3 secs because I didn't check my trim settings on the radio and finished with a broke wing. Repaired the wing and went out very early this morning to a field where the grass is over 1foot high. Checked everything, took the undercarriage off and let go, it was brilliant!! My first flight! Flew twice and landed with no probs at all. I was so excited I couldn't keep my thumb steady on the stick!!(this happen to anyone else?).
Here's my tips, check your elevators to make sure they are level, fly in 'Pro' mode, immediately after launch give a little 'UP' elevator, use the joystick sparingly and with short movements and when flying early morning or late evening take a good insect repellent!! I had to pack up 'cause I was being eaten alive!
So..thanks for all the info on this site and all the people that have contributed videos etc...and YES the Aerobird Extreme CAN be flown by a beginner if they take the time and trouble to READ and WATCH articles and videos from this site.
The Aerobird Extreme is a great plane and I found it very stable. Wish I could use my Hitec Optic 6 with her though!!
Thankyou to everyone
Regards
Johnny
