hi all,
interesting one this....my slinger (foamy flying wing ) is a little too keen to go into a flat spin. its quite good fun to watch and being pretty tough, it hardly ever needs fixing but want to try and cure it now.
C of G checks out ok and depite that I have tried it in several places. using LiPos and micro everything ( HS81 servos ) so weight pretty good too.
Anybody had any probs like this ?

I fly a Mini Slinger, and in my 4 or so flights, in winds and calm, I haven't had it do anything thing like a frizzbee or any spinning for that matter. Now granted I fly it conservatively and the only extreme thing I do is a few rolls, it usually wants to glide (or rather due to my heavy battery setup it wants to nose down).

My Slinger has never been in a flat spin. I'm using the 'stock' pack, an 8C 9 oz battery, and the CG is where it is supposed to be
Can you even pack that many Lipos in the nose to match that weight?

Hehehe, how about using AAA sized 8-cell battery (from my Blade CP heli) in a Mini Slinger?
Flies like a brick on wings. [X(] But keyword, "flies."
My lhs didn't have the recommended 2/3AAA pack, so .........
(I can still do rolls and loops...)

8 cell 2/3 A 1150 pack from cheapbatterypacks.com is one of the best packs to use. About 160 grams will get your CG balanced out.
Also you will need to adjust your winglets so they are around 40% below the wing. Once i adjusted the winglets, the spinning out from loops and turns stopped.
