LiIon are usally good for 2C or 3C but Kokam LiPo can source 5C and have a greater power density, they're also safer because of the pastic electrolyte which reduces explosion risks.
The smart money says LiPo!

LiPo, of course. Not only can they do up to 5C (first generation did about 3C), they are lighter and much less prone to exploding than LiIo. The LiIo's I have were obtained cheap ($2-$4 / pack), so I am enjoying the mileage I get from them.
