Hey,
I've been flying a 3ch airplane for the past 8 months. Don't get me wrong, it's very exciting, but the maintenance/part replacements is expensive. Also, I would like a slow, indoor model. I don't want to have to worry about expensive replacements or any thing else, I just want to get it up there to fly. I'm not looking to progress in the rc hobby for at least several more months, so its nothing long term.
The question: If I want a hassle-free rtf rc airplane, is the Megatech FireFly the way to go?
I realize that it's only 2ch, the transmitter stinks, it's only capable of 6-8 minute flights and so on, but at the same time, it charges in 4 minutes, is extremely durable, can be flown both indoors/outdoors, and is rtf. In the air within 5 mins. of purchase. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't put them in the extremely durable class...but you can usually buy them for less than $10 so it's not too big a deal. I got some for stocking stuffers from ToyEast a few years back and they were ok. You could get 20 minutes flying time on a calm day. Vectored thrust does take getting used to. Megatech does not have the best reputation for selling products that fly...but this one will leave the ground.
