Newegg has a nice deal on a 300 watt power supply - $6.54 shipped. After doing the work noted here - left frame - scroll to the bottom, you'll have a 120AC to 12V DC power supply for your hobby needs. Can also add 5V posts if desired.
Rebate on the PS expires on 7/31.
Just throwing out there in case anyone was pondering this project.

The whole unit is rated at 300 watts, but you only get 9A on the +12V line (108W). Just click on the "Specifications" button.
Still, if 9A is enough for your needs, it's a great deal.
