RE: Which plane is the best for the $
Is there a club for people that ask really stupid questions?
Everyone is looking for the best deal they can find, just like you. Unlike you, most of them seem to have the balls to do their own homework, make their own decision, then make that decision a good one.
Posting lame questions like this will NOT bring you any more facts than you could learn yourself, it just creates another venue for every other moron to post their stupid "I own this one and it rocks!" comments.
Man! I wish I was a moderator! [:'(]

Adam, your question depends, have you flown before? Do you know the difference between arf and rtf? You could get the 80 dollar ARF but it will end up costing you half a thousand dollars if you have no equipment. And you will eventually need at very minimum a 4 channel radio, which gives you very little headroom.

Dude, the $80 plane is RTF, its not a kit!
And I do know how to fly. I have a few years of experience. I DO MY HOMEWORK BEFOR I POST! Im not a retard!
I post this because over half of the planes are hard to find info on.
I TAKE THAT BACK, over half of the planes are almost impossible to find info on!
You know what I'm having a bad day
People like you are why in this hobby its hard for noobs to get started.

SAMURAIADAM17,
It looks like there can be a little misunderstanding going on.
I suggest in your posts and/or replies you format them like this:
Bad_Daddy, ABC
____________
maiden-crash, XYZ
____________________________
Blow by blow play as I see it:
Frankly I think you have every right to write this initial post. Bad_Daddy was a little harsh in his reply. maiden-crash came to help you SAMURAIADAM17. Due to lack of your proper formatting maiden-crash's feelings were hurt which resulted his 2nd post. scoooper is 200% correct with his comments towards Bad_Daddy in which scoooper made it like business comments versus personal attacks.
I know that no one asked me for my comments, but I thought it would be a shame for things to go further over a simple misunderstanding.
Have fun,
Gryphon

RE: Which plane is the best for the $
Adam, if you have been flying for some time then I'm sure your aware that RTF planes usualy have marginal tronics in them, with that being said you want to lean towards the ones with the better track record. I would say that narrows it down to 3 planes the Decatholon PZ Cub and
Slo V. now the question would be what type of plane you want, the cub is more of a trainer than the decathalon and the slow V is just a slow flyer that doesn't do well in wind.
One other factor to consider is how upgradable will the plane be, the best way to research that is by surfing the threads here on those planes and jumping to the last post an just asking
Good Luck and remember it's all about the fun

RE: Which plane is the best for the $
I have cleaned up this thread from the adhominem post. No question is a stupid one. It is a whole lot easier to pass the thread by than to post an ad hominem attack in it. Much less effort. If that fails and one feels they cant control the urge to press that submit button with their mouse...one last line of defense is available to you. It is at the top of every reply box in red lettering:
