I have a Parkzone Typhoon 2. I reversed that polarity on the Lipo battery and instantly fried the ESC and receiver.

I guess my question is ... Can i use a generic receiver with the FM transmitter? The crystal set is channel 54.

I want to keep the parkzone transmitter.

Any help is appreciated.

I really just want to keep it and try and get a cheaper receiver. I already found a cheaper ESC for about $15 and i saw some receivers for about the same but don't know if they would work. The rest of the plane is fine.

Parkzone electronics are expensive.
