Well it all depends on your skill level. Did you crash your Cub a lot? If you did, get a simple to control plane like a GWS beaver. If you have progressed in skill where you can fly as hard as you want and not crash, then you can get a hardcore plane like an E3D. A good 3rd plane would probably be a nice aerobat like a flat foamie or a zagi. Both are very fun to play with!

Here is a great suggestion, if you can find one.
My last plane was a Cub and I could fly it very well. I was looking for my first 4 channel plane and this was recommended to me by a good friend.
It was alot easier to build than I thought it would be. I took my time (about 6 hours) on different days. Probably asked way too many questions but I wanted to make sure I got it right. The first time I throttled up and let her go, she flew off like a dream I am so happy with this plane and it is capable of way more than I can do. But it also makes a nice slow flyer if you want.
It is the MS Composite Unique. They make several other good planes as well. This is an EPP kit and is hard to break.

Depends on what you want. If you want to go to some balsa models ....for aerobatics I would go for a Mini Ultra stick....for sport/aerobatic/3d I would go for a 3DHS 47" extra SHP. Thats two excellent 3rd planes. The MUS was my second and the SHP was my 3rd and I still love to fly both of them.

I got it from Graves RC for $59.00, but you will need a radio, receiver, motor, esc and 4 servos and a battery.

Yes the new micro P51-D would be a great plane and I plan on getting one. But it is on a different level.
