I went looking for a good setup for a E-flite P38 (for speed mostly), but I can't seem to find one. I then wandered about trying to figure out myself what to put in the darn thing but got a little lost when trying to use the calculator... If anyone has a good build or has any ideas I would appreciate it!

I have built and flown two of these great planes.the brushless setup they recomend works very good! Im using eflite 450s ,eflite 30 amp pro switching ecs,and tunigy 2200 3s 20-30 c battery and I hand launch.
It pulls out of my hand at just over half thottle.i put carbon fiber strips the leagth of the booms.I have read of the tails comming off in flight, and changed the tubes.in the fuse to aluminum tubes because the carbon tubes have split at the ends and the wing almost twisted out.take your time building and its an awsome plane

Nice info Gunny, but did you notice he asked his question about a year ago?
Looking at his info he hasn't been back since July 2010...........
Wonder if he found something? And what happened to him?

with 2 480s we smoke a battery so were going down to a 400 or 450 we haven touched the plane in over a year and a half but I am going to get it going wether dad likes it or not because i don't like seeing such a beautiful plane just sitting a collecting dust when we flew it though it looked great in the air.
