MM Dandy GT construction Review
Well I got a Dandy GT from Mountain Models, first I must say that it
is a well engineered kit.. Everything fits nice and pretty much idiot proof..
there are a few warnings I would offer to the not so seasoned builder.
1.make note of the orientation of the spar notches when gluing the
spar ends together.. ALL the notches have to be on the SAME edge
of the spar!!
2. Make sure all the ribs are FULLY seated before gluing.
3. be sure the top plywood section is glued with it lined up even with
the leading edge of the wing.
4. When installing the the formers that support the gear, make sure there
is a gap BETWEEN the formers, so the gear mount will slip Between the
2 formers.
5. mount your servos, push rods and motor mount before gluing the
front and rear deck sheets inplace.
6. cover the horz & vert. stabilizers before you install them.. be sure
to trim away the covering from the areas that will be glued.
Over all I am quite pleased with the kit quality and design.. if the Dandy
flys 1/2 a well as it was engineered, the Dandy will be an excellent flyer!
I already have my eye on several other Mountain Models kits.. if you like
a fast easy building kit, take a look at the MM hanger
Best regards.

MM Dandy GT construction Review
I have the Dandy also and love it. I am have the Sport wing ang the Poly wing. I enjoy flying it with the poly wing and just crusing around.
I just got the MM Cessna 180 and it is a great kit. I can't wait to fly it. Very cool looking scale model. I am also putting lights on it so I can fly it at night. You can add all the scale details you want to this little bird. I have seen a few that it is hard to tell if it is a real plane or not in pics of them.
