EP Multi engine planes questions
1 Attachment(s)
Hi i´m interested in building varoius electric brushless bombers that have 2 engines to 6 engines. I´ve been flying low wing warbirds and I´m tired of them now for at least electric planes. Can you guys show me your EP setups for your multi engine planes, cause i dont know how they are soposed to be setup. The following pics are the planes i would like to build sometime soon. I´m sure u cant name all of em right away. Thats why i wana build these rare axis plans. There are to many RC P'38s ,B'17s out there!! Its time throw some planes at them!!

scoooper....
That's quite the hot glue job....did none of that fit inside?? I'm sure it flys great ....but....look at it...[sm=72_72.gif] |
RE: EP Multi engine planes questions
Are you using a Y harness for linking the ESCs together into the receiver? Its hard to tell with all the wires running crazy everwhere.:D But thanks for your response scoooper[8D]

RE: EP Multi engine planes questions
i know somewhere they have like a y harness made of Deans connectors, that would be best if you wnat to go BL

RE: EP Multi engine planes questions
Poncho, I have both twin and 4 motor planes, it can be rather confusing when you start setting up the tronics for 4 motors. twins are fairly simple
just the basics, you have to Y harness your ESC together and remove the power wire from one of them when doing twins, then Y harness your power leads for the batts to prevent one motor from cutting off On 4 you have to Y harness 2 ESC together for each side then Y harness those together to go to the RX. you need to disconnect the red wire from each ESC.You also have to Y harness or just solder your batt leads together in each wing, then Y harness them into 1or2 connections for the batts. You will either have to use a UBEC or a flight pack for your RX as trying to run all 4 motors through 1 ESC would prob be certain disaster In my SU-27 I use 2 ESC connected together and batt leads into 1 connector, I then use a 4 into 2 harness that allows me to use 3 batt packs to power it In my Fat Albert look alike I have 4 motors Y together in each wing then Y inside the cargo bay to the RX the ESC power wires are soldered together in the wing and then connect to the same 4 to 2 harness allowing me to use 4 batt packs in it to use a flight pack you just use a Y harness to connect the batt to the ESC via a servo lead I hope this helped to at least get you going in the right direction |
RE: EP Multi engine planes questions
thanks but can you show pics though? I´d like to see how you organized the wires
|
RE: EP Multi engine planes questions
I could try but all my wiring is laid either inside the wings or in channels I built inside the cargo bay on the 4 motor plane
On the SU all the wiring is inside the ducted area of the body You realy can't see any of it except for the batt leads and ESC leads |
RE: EP Multi engine planes questions

ponchoyo::I make all my own Y-harnesses most the time Ex's too, the deans con Y is for the two 3-cell1600's, if you'll go to the GWS site an look up the P38, it shows the set-up for twins in great detail , your bub, scoooper PS RedGN:: your right , she fly's like she's on rails but I don't use hot glue, epoxy& ape glue's the hot set-up, I've built a mess of theses things,
