Bought a new pattern ship with the C54 motor and i can’t find a vid on the greasing of the gears. Manual is calling for 50-75 flights greasing the motor, is this the timeframe folks are doing to do the grease re packing?

H Jamie, 50-75 flights between changing the grease in your Hacker C54 motor is correct. Based on my past experience, what is just as important is the quality of the grease that you use in the process. Wish you well and welcome back to flying pattern again.

I’ve been using Hacker C50s and C54s since 2010. Yes, 50-75 is a good number of flights between service intervals providing the motor has adequate cooling. Use either the Hacker grease or Shell Stamina RL2 grease. I have a couple of C50s with well over 1000 runs each using the Shell grease and the above-mentioned service interval.
