Automatic Judging with Flight Coach Score
#1
Hello,
We recently publicly released Flight Coach Score, a tool for automatic judging of precision aerobatics based on Ardupilot dataflash log files. FCScore also includes a place to share your flight data and scores. It is free to use and has been tested extensively with the F3A P25 and F25 sequences. Support for IMAC and full scale aerobatics is also in development. We are continuously working on the analysis and scoring process, any flight data you share and the feedback you give will be used to improve the system in the future.
You can access FCScore here: flightcoach.org/fcscore/
Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom
Congratulations on the successful first release. This is a powerful tool! I have been using it and found it to be very accurate. I compared flight logs from competition flights and found the “Easy” setting closely matches human judges.
A couple notes:
- if you could provide some user information on how to best adjust parameters for maneuvers which don’t resolve and generate the “Check Alignment” message that would be helpful. In particular, how to use that tool on the Roll Combination for P25.
- it indicates that JSON file scores can’t be shared. Do you have plans to incorporate those? It is much easier to take the JSON files from The Plotter in FC and use those in FCScore.
- a lot of our flying sites don’t have internet or cellular phone service. Is there a way to run FCScore offline?
thanks for all the hard work! This is a Game Changer
