Default Tracker II Battery pack re: charging

[sm=bananahead.gif]

What should the fully charged voltage read onscreen on a new Tracker II original transmitter battery?
Mine gets into the 9.95 area but starts to drop quickly.

Confused

How long did you charge it? The first charge should be 24Hrs on the supplied charger. It should then be in the 11v range.

Definitely charged it as per instructions.
Subsequently tried cycling it to no avail.
I guess I received a defective battery.

Hmmm...maybe test it on another meter to see if the reading is correct?

I purchased a new battery pack and it works fine now.
Strange, when I sent the new radio to Polk for software upgrade, I did complain about the battery. They returned the set with a note that all was checked and working fine. No reference to the battery. It was reading 9.3 volts when I got it back..

Give them a call. They should make it right.
